Girlfriend

I don't own Pokemon obviously. If I did Ash and Misty would've been together a long time ago :)

Warning: Ash is a bit OOC in this story :/

Ash POV

It was a warm bright sunny day in the
Kalos region and I finished up a exhausting but exhilarating gym battle and earned my second Kalos gym badge. My friends and I were at a little park relaxing and I was fully taking in the foreign region around me. Well, until I diverted my eyes to Bonnie trying to set Clemont up with every girl that walks by. Clemont was helplessly dragged along unable to pry himself from his sisters grasp at the moment

I laughed and shook my head slightly.

This happens a lot

"Come ON Clemont I need to find you a girlfriend" Bonnie said with determination lurking in her voice as she gave the park a glance looking for more girls, still dragging Clemont along with her.

Before he could speak Bonnie excitedly stated
"Maybe if I'm lucky you'll marry her and I can be a sister in law!

"Bonnie" Clemont started with a somewhat annoyed and angry tone " You nee-"

Clemont was cutoff by Bonnie as she squealed excitedly with glimmering eyes "And maybe one day I'll be a aunt"

Clemont chocked and finally released himself from his sisters firm hold  "That's enough Bonnie" Clemont stated as he stood up. Clearly irritated, he then finally made use of his robot arm and lifted her up in the air

"Fine Clemont" Bonnie huffed as all her determination was replaced by annoyance "I'll just look later because I dont need my brother living alone for the rest of his life" and before the irked Clemont could respond Bonnie turned to me, as best as she could do in the robot arms clutches, and said "I'll find Ash a girlfriend for the time being"

Now my other traveling companion, Serena, looked on with a rather interesting expression. I couldn't really place it

I diverted my eyes downward as my thoughts immediately went to a old friend of mine, one that I couldn't stop thinking about.

She was probably at her little Kanto gym in Cerulean City, fighting in a battle or looking after the gym because her sisters wanted to avoid responsibility and do something they loved while unknowingly taking the only person I ever loved.

Naturally I didn't know that I loved her at the time she was traveling with me, I was only 10 for goodness sakes, but after recent countless hours on the phone with Brock and Gary I think I got an answer to the funny feeling inside my chest and stomach when I think of her and the pain of not seeing her, which was far greater then any of my other friends

When I called Brock and Gary, Brock said that I miss her and I should go see her or give her a call. Gary said a couple of things I wanted to punch him for.

I realised that I really really started to like her.

I want to tell her how I feel but I wouldn't know where to start and I probably would make a lousy boyfriend anyway. Plus I don't have the slightest clue what to do.

Brock says I'm a bit dense when it come to love

I do know however, I want to, no, need to tell her how I feel.

I smile thinking about her and I get that weird fuzzy feeling.

"Earth to Ash" Bonnie exclaimed, pulling me out of my trance, "what are you thinking about?"

Clemont was looking at me hard while a bit puzzled and Serena was still staring at me with the same expression as before which I still couldn't place.

After a few moments I looked up and respond "Bonnie I don't need you to find me a girl" I took a somewhat shaky breath in as I took a small lure, a bit worn from years of traveling and fishing out of my pocket and concluded, with a hint of sadness and a glimmer of hope in my voice,  "I already found mine"

I warned you that Ash was a bit OOC, but in Kalos he is shown to be a bit more mature... at times? He has to think of something besides food and Pokemon battles.

So how was it... for a first fanfic?
