When I first started making covers, I literally sucked at it, so it took me months to find a way to make the colors coordinate. That is, until I found Polarr, which has helped me a lot. As you can see, above is the difference between a non filtered cover and a filtered cover.

   Obviously, I don't use Photoshop — due to my dumbass breaking the screen of my computer for the fifth time, but I do make sure I use some filters that are closer to looking like PSDs. One that really works is the “wild” one that was created by camtrst — who, by the way, has some other amazing filters.

If you don’t know how to scan the filters:

You open your picture and click the three lines. It should say ‘import filter’ and you’ll click import. If you want, here is a red filter (not made by me):
