My restraints dropped and I slumped to the hard metal ground, but I couldn't move. I was still in shock of what happened. I felt torn, broken. I stain the floor with my love. It runs from my mouth and I choke on the air. It bleeds from my ears and drips from my chin. My head hangs low, heavy with thoughts of him. The hardest thing is watching somebody love, forget that they love you.
And by this point it all made sense. It was not a physical death that the fifth stage refers to, but the figurative death of the mind.
