Biting on his lower lip, he looked down on his phone, checking the time.
Jihoon can't help but feel awkward, and uncomfortable that after two fucking hours, his "date" hasn't arrived yet.
For two hours straight, Jihoon had been awkwardly playing a stupid game in his phone in order to avoid all the judging and pity glances being thrown at his direction by basically everyone inside the restaurant.
Well who wouldn't pity him- the poor boy had been waiting for hours and has been asked thrice by the waitress what he'll order.
Jihoon had managed to finish three different flavoured milkshakes now and he is sure he cannot go for more.

Another hour has passed yet this "Hyungseop" haven't even showed his shadow in the vicnity.
Cursing under his breath, he knew better than to agree with Daehwi's- his best friend- stupid idea of setting him up on a blind date with a random guy he saw online.
Why didn't set this blind date to himself in the first place? Why him? Why bother him? Why bother Park Jihoon?
Oh, right.
He's already dating the oh-so-famous Bae Jinyoung.
Plus they probably want to find a way to get rid of his annoying ass third-wheeling their dates.
It's not like it's his fault, the three of them had always been stuck on each others hips since they were in their diapers.
That is until the two realised their kept feelings to each other.

That's why, just like what a "good" best friend he was, according to Daehwi, he'd help the elder with his love life.
Well, looks like it didn't turn out well then.
He just made a fool of himself.
Sighing, Jihoon decided that this was enough, the guy wouldn't show up anyways so its time for him to leave.
But fate decided to play a trick on him because right before he can even get up, someone suddenly sat across him and flashed him a cheeky smile.
Jihoon looked up in surprised, and was he certain that this wasn't the "Hyungseop" guy he's going to meet since Daehwi already sent him a picture of the latter.
What the heck is going on here?

Shaking the thoughts away, he awkwardly glances at the guy in front of him and waited till the guy to speak.
"Hey, sorry for making you wait so long. So what do you want to eat? Don't worry, it's my treat." The guy blurted out as he smiles at him once again.
Dumbfounded, Jihoon asked "W-wha-"
He was cut off when the guy suddenly spoke in soft tone, but loud enough for only him to hear. "Just play along, the person who's making you wait so long is a dick and I don't want you to look like an idiot here. I can't believe someone can ditch a cutie like you."
Blinking in surprise, Jihoon was touched by the stranger's kindness.
And appalled by his boldness.

Geez, angels do exist.
But my stupid self had to embarrassed myself by blurting out nonsense just because I can't take compliments well - gdi.
The guy with pretty eyesmile and golden locks shot him an incredulous look but shrugged it off with a chuckle as calls the waitress and orders a meal for two.
Once she is gone, Jihoon too this opportunity to properly thank the guy.
"Hey, seriously thanks. I don't know how to thank you but really... Thanks, that's very kind of you."
"Nah," the guy chuckled.
"No need to thank me, I just can't let a cute guy like you alone because his date dumped him, right? And you know what? Poor him because for this night, I'll be your date. Oh and my names Kang Daniel, it's nice to meet you...?"
"J-Jihoon. Park Jihoon. Really, thank you, Daniel-ssi." Jihoon blushed at the other's words and tried to hid his flushed face behind the menu, making Daniel cooed at his cuteness.
"I bet I'm older than you, just call me hyung."
"How can you be so sure?"
"I'm a 96 liner."
"Damnit. I'm 99, you are my hyung then."
And then they spent the whole night getting to know each other, exchanging numbers before parting ways, but also scheduled another date next saturday.
Well, Daehwi's blind date plan may not work but at least he met someone like Kang Daniel in his life.
Maybe, just maybe, Jihoon's lonely and dull life will start to brighten and be filled with colours in the next few days.
And Jihoon wouldn't deny that he's actually looking forward to it.
