Tucker had been sitting in one of those disgustingly patterned chairs when the girl showed up.
She looked to be around his age but seemed much older. There was something that flashed in her light brown eyes that planted some sort of sensation in his gut. It felt like fear... but it wasn't. He couldn't quite put his finger on it. Whatever it was, it gave him a thrill that ran from his chest over his shoulders and down his body.
The steady beat that he'd been hearing in his head faded away.
Now that's odd.
She wasn't someone that made you stop in your tracks. There wasn't any one thing he could point out about her being that made her intriguing but rather a combination of everything; her demeanor, her stance, her facial features. Tucker knew he had to talk to this girl at least once.
