It's 2:56 am. You're sitting in your circle, looking around to make sure everything is in its place. You have a candle for each of the five elements, earth, air, fire, water, and spirit, set around the circle, with spirit in the middle with you. You have your matches to light them. You're wearing your special silky gown, the color of deep red garnets. Your dark auburn hair is pulled back in a loose braid down your back. You have the symbol of your Goddess draped around your neck on a long, thin, silver chain. You look at the clock again. 2:59 am. You watch as it changes to 3:00 am. It's time to begin
You take a deep breath. "Earth, so green and lively, I call to you to come to my circle." You strike your match and light the green earth candle. You breathe in. You smell the soil of the earth and feel the soft grass beneath you. "Air, fresh and free, I call to you to come to my circle." You light the yellow air candle. You feel the cool breeze as it drifts through your hair."Fire, warm and inviting, I call to you to come to my circle." You light the red fire candle. You feel the warmth of of it on your bare skin. "Water, cool and refreshing, I call to you to come to my circle." You light the blue water candle. You can smell the saltiness of the sea and can just barely hear the sounds of waves crashing on a shore. "Spirit, that which is in everything and is everywhere, I call to you to come to my circle." Finally, you light the purple spirit candle. You feel it inside you, your spirit lifting in you, making you feel as though you can concur anything. You put down your matches and close your eyes, focusing on your senses.
"Goddess of Dark, I call to you. Come to me. Join me in my circle."
With your eyes still closed, you patiently wait. After a few moments, you notice a stir in the atmosphere around you. You can feel the presence of another there with you in your circle. You slowly open your eyes. Standing across from you is your Goddess. She looks back at you with Her almost black eyes. Her raven hair falls over Her shoulders and hangs just over Her lap. Her beautiful deep purple dress cuts low to Her breasts, exposing them slightly.
"You called, my daughter," your Goddess says fluidly. "What is it that you seek?"
"Yes, Goddess," you reply. You clear your throat, suddenly nervous. "I have called you here to me in need of a favor."
Your Goddess's perfect eyebrows raise. "And what favor do you have to ask of me that you think I would be willing to give to you? What do you have to give to me in return?"
"Dear Goddess," you say, rushed and breathy. "I am lonely. I have no friends or family. I haven't a lover or a pet. I ask of you, please Goddess, would you grant me someone for whom I can trust will take away my loneliness and never leave me?" You stop and breathe. You watch as your Goddess just looks at you with Her piercing gaze. You clear your throat again. "I will give you anything you want in return. Just please! I can't stand to be alone any longer." Your Goddess's expression does't waver. She sits there in silence for longer than you feel comfortable for. You almost begin to think She will deny you of what you want more than anything in this world when She finally sighs.
"I shall grant you your favor." You smile at your Goddess as relief floods over you. "But heed this, daughter," She says sternly. "I will not take anything from you as of yet. I will come for it when I am ready." Your Goddess stands then, and you watch as She uses Her dark magick to create a being for you. Dark tendrils of smoke swirl around and when it clears, there is a man standing before you, naked. He has skin the color of cream and hair as dark as the night sky. When he opens his eyes, they are midnight blue.
"Oh, Goddess!" you exclaim, tears in your eyes. "He's perfect!" When you look over to where your Goddess stood, She was gone. Faintly, you hear Her voice whisper in the wind, "Remember my warning, child. You will repay me. In due time, you will repay me."
