Stuck in the Manga: Shugo Chara

Chapter 5

We met Yuu yesterday. All he seemed upset about was that we weren't in school that day. I lied and said we skipped class to know what it would be like. He didn't question my excuse and went with it.

Its the morning. Time for me to get up and head to school. I'll be going to the same school Ikuto is. He acted like he didn't know me. Maybe we have different classes. I don't know. I'll find out today.

I dress in the female uniform, which is a dark blue shirt tucked into a darker blue skirt that reaches not quite middle thigh. I wear knee high black socks and the black shoes. I set my hair up in a large loose bun, and I'm set to go.

"Yuu!" I call, heading down the stairs like I did it every day. "I'm heading off to school!"

"Have a nice day!" He calls calls back.

"I will!" And with that, I'm out the door, plugging in the iPod I found in the drawer of my desk. I turn it on and see that my background is a selfie I took. I'm smiling and a few other girls are beside me. In the background, I see Ikuto, eyeing us. So, why didn't he say anything the other day?

I don't know. What I do know is three girls approach me as I see the school in the distance.

"Seiko-Chan!" One says, grabbing onto my arm.

"Hey! Haruhi! Don't be rude! You know she doesn't like to be grabbed!"

"Wendy! Don't yell at me!" Says the one on my arm. At least I know who two of the three are. "Tohru!! Do something!"

I turn to the tallest girl. She has brown hair, and it covers her left eye. "Why? I don't see what's wrong."

Tohru, Wendy and Haruhi. Ok. I got this. "Hey guys." I greet, flashing a smile.

"Is something wrong? That was a fake smile." I swear drop.

"N-no... nothin' is wrong." I say, nervous. I shouldn't show this nervouseness, it will give me away.

I left my three charas at home, though I instructed Seto to take his to school with him. I knew no one would be able to see them except Yuu. I did not tell him about the Guardians. I figured it was in his best interest to not know about them until they approach him.

"Seiko! Lets go to math!" I groan.

"Math? Really? Can't we just skip or something?" I counter, pulling a disgusted look.

"Oh." Says Tohru, eyeing me. "Do we have ourselves a little rebel? We always knew it would be you."

"Wait." I say, and Haruhi and Wendy laugh.

"Come on, girl! You know we love you." I smile.

"Yeah... So lets go to Math!" I pump my left fist in the air, using my right hand to keep my skirt from passing the bottom of my butt.

They make these so short. I'm glad my socks come up to my knee or I would feel naked.

I knew I had seen her before. I knew it!

She goes to the same school as I do. And she's cute.

"Ikuto~Nya! Are you thinking of that girl?" Yoru says to me.

I nod. "A little. She intrigues me. Her adopted father is Yuu. Why did she attack me yesterday?"

"I dunno~Nya. Maybe she doesn't know who you are."

I shrug my shoulders. "Maybe. But I heard her, she knew our names."

"I don't know~Nya. Don't ask me." I sigh and spot her again from my place on the roof.
