I haven't slept at all. I need to wait for the right time. My father hasn't gone to bed yet, and it's nearing 12:00. I'm worried this will be one of those nights where he stays awake, making sure we don't try to run.
But my worries are short lived. He shuts the light off and walks down the hall. I sigh. I can't get up now, he will hear us.
When the clock nears 12:30, and I hear my fathers snores, I gently take my covers off me, careful not to wake Seto. I take a look at my duffle bag that I have on the floor. It's the largest thing I have, so I have to fit everything I can inside it.
I start with a sweatshirt, jeans and converse. I throw a tank top inside as well. I can wear something to start off and have spares in the bag. For my brother I put a tank top in, loose jeans and skater DC's. All our cloths are old and worn down because my dad spends all his money on beer and torture devises. I take from him every week and buy food and clothes. It's good enough to last.
I take the first Shugo Chara Manga and stuff it in there, as well as Dragon Rider for my brother.
Then I wake him up. "Seto..." He doesn't wake up, so I cover his mouth and shake. He opens his eyes and I hold my fingers to my mouth. He nods in understanding and I motion for him to get up and get dressed into something.
He obeys without a word, like he always does. When he is done, I whisper to him. "We are leaving tonight. Try not to make a sound." He nods and I open my door. It squeaks and I freeze. Father snores away so I continue, swinging the door open fast and I stop it before it hits the wall.
I peek outside the door, and it's clear. I motion Seto foreword. We walk into the hallway, me carting the tote bag close to my body.
I unlock the door and we slip out into the night.
-------LATER THAT DAY----
"Seto. You hungry?" He shakes his head. "Okay. I brought your book. You want to read it?" He nods his head, smiling. "That's good. Ill get it." I reach into the bag and pull out our two books, giving Seto his.
I'm sure father has noticed we are gone. I left my guitar and violin back home. I couldn't risk taking them. I sigh and open my book, beginning to read.
After 15 minutes I look over to Seto, and he's asleep. His blonde hair falls over his face in a messy way, and I smile. He's so cute.
Everything about me is ordinary. My face, my hair, my body. I'm average. Seto is perfect, just like mother before she died.
It doesn't take long before I fall asleep to.

"Seiko! Seiko!" I open my eyes and Seto is bent over me, calling my name. His face has a worried look on his face.
"Seto, honey? What is it?"
"We-were not in Japan anymore..." I sit up, and notice we are not in the ally where we were before. We are in loose dirt, next to a large structure, not quite finished. Just the basics.
Then I remember something. And diss the idea.
"I'm sure we are fine... we are going to be fine." I say. He is eased a little, but the look of worry is still on his face.
Then I hear a voice. "Why don't I just crawl into a hole and die!?" It yells, and falls short.
"Um," I say. "Seto, stay here, by this rock." He nods and I walk over to where the voice vanished. And, sure enough, there is a hole in the ground where a girl with pink hair looks at the sky, a look of shock on her face.
