Chapter 2

   The pups went to the bridge, but they didn't see Ryder or Chase anywhere. "Where could they be?!" said Zuma. "I hope Chase is ok!" said Skye. Then Marshall looked over the bridge and he saw Chase's police cruiser in the water about to sink. "Pups, I found Chase!" "Where is he?!" said Rocky. "Down there!" said Marshall pointing at the ocean. "CHASE!!" said the pups except for Marshall. "Come on, we've got to save him!" said Skye.

The pups headed to the ocean where Chase is and Zuma got in his hovercraft to save Chase from drowning. "Dudes, Chase doesn't look so good, he is bleeding badly and is still unconscious!" said Zuma. "I'll check him when you get him out of there, just please hurry Zuma!" said Marshall. You got it dude!" said Zuma as he tried to unhook Chase's seat belt, but couldn't. Skye was whimpering with tears in her eyes. "Don't worry Skye! We'll get him out of this!" said Everest. Skye gave her a sad smile and said "Thanks Everest!" Chase and his cruiser was now underwater and Skye was worrying even more by biting her lip and darting her eyes around with tears still falling. "You like Chase, don't you?" said Everest. "Of course I like Chase! He's my friend!" said Skye. "No I mean like-like Chase." said Everest. "Yes, yes I do like-like him! I wish he had feelings for me as well!" said Skye.

Zuma finally got the seat belt unhooked and pulled Chase out and put him on his hovercraft and drove him back to shore. "Rubble, use your crane to get Chase's cruiser out of the water!" said Marshall. "You got it Marshall!" said Rubble as he lifted his cruiser out of the water. "CHASE!!" said all the pups as the ran to Chase. "Chase! Chase! Buddy!" said Marshall trying to wake the German Shepherd pup up, but nothing worked. Skye went up to Chase and tried to shake him awake but still nothing. "Chase! Chase! Chase! Come on Chase, please don't do this to us! CHASE!!" Skye said as she tried to wake him up but still nothing. Then all the pups cried and shed tears, but Skye was bawling, and then she put her head on his head and looked into
his amber eyes and said "I love you!" then she kissed him for about 15 seconds then she hugged him possibly for the last time.
