3 days later
Phillipa's
During those three days, we all acted like nothing has happened. I'm fine with everything as long as my daughter is fine and not hurt. But what bothers me the most is that during those three whole days Vanessa is always in the theater. Don't get me wrong, she's nice and all but is it really necessary that she's around in the middle of my family's crisis?!
We're doing the last show right now and whenever I'm backstage, Vanessa is so nice to me. It makes me feel bad that I am loathing her. After the show I packed our bags real quick.
Jazzy : What's the hurry?
Pippa : I actually have an interview on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert and we still have to eat dinner
Jazzy : oooh fun!
Renee : is Mira coming with you?
Pippa : of course she is. She's not allowed to go with someone unless it's me, the schuyler sisters, king george and her best friend
Mira : don't worry Mom, I won't really go with someone who's not on your list anyway
Pippa ; good! Great chat you guys! but we have to get going
Renee : Okaaay! Have fun!
We arrived at the studio thirty minutes later.
While they were dressing me up and making me look pretty, we are facetiming Sam. It's because we want to ask her about school works and such so that Mira's still doing their homework even despite her suspension.Thankfully, despite Sam's laziness, she has managed to take down notes for Mira. We ended the call when a staff cam and gave us a ten minutes warning before going live. I asked Mira if she wants to take a seat on the audience but she declined and said she'll just hangout in the dressing room and probably get some school works done. Luckily, my charm aka bribing work and I got her to be on the audience
Interview....
Stephen : The lovely Phillipa Soo everybody!
then I walked on stage while waving at everybody. Gave Stephen a handshake and a small kiss on the cheek.
Stephen : Good evening Phillipa
Pippa : Good evening! Good evening to everybody!
Stephen : So... first off congratulations on Hamilton!
Pippa : Thank you so much!
Stephen : It's really a life-changing musical and you're a part of it! how does that feel?
Pippa : Like the musical itself. life-changing. It's not everyday that you are an actress, you get to be on broadway, and to be both and to star in this amazingly epic musical is just overwhelming
Stephen : Speaking of broadway and all, it's been a year but congratulations as well on Amelie! I have watched it twice and you were amazing!
Pippa : Thank you! It's an amazing musical too so I try to be amazing as well.
Stephen : It's just sad that it's not running anymore. It deserves to stay
Pippa : safe in a frame?
Stephen : yeah hahaha
Pippa : It is kinda sad but I think that's just how it goes. But as they say a door closes, a window opens. Because I actually got the part on Hamilton on the last show of Amelie
Stephen : Really? Can you tell us about that?
Pippa : Yeah uhm... Alex Lacamoire and Lin came up to me backstage right after our final bows. They said "are you willing to take another musical right after Amelie?" I am like, "of course! what this musical about?"
