Their first meeting occurs a week after his arthroscopic surgery at Dr. Marvic Sotto's clinic.  She wears a blue scrub suit, her hair tied in a messy bun, fresh-faced and cheeks flushed. Beautiful.

Dr. Sotto introduces her to him and he is instantly mesmerized.  Her eyes are warm and expressive and he just can’t seem to look away. On her lips, an even warmer smile.

Even with her loose-fitting uniform, she somehow still managed to look sexy, her curves evident despite her unflattering outfit.  He swallows as their hands touch.

Nicomaine. Kasing ganda mo ang pangalan mo.  He thought, surprised at her strength as she firmly shakes his uninjured hand.  He gives her a curt smile in return, his hand lingering on hers a few seconds longer than necessary.

Dr. Sotto, or Doc Bossing as his staff fondly calls him, has already told him the good news that Maine accepted the assignment and that she will be his new physiotherapist in two weeks’ time.

Maine could barely contain her excitement at finally being in the same room as The Governor and tries her best to keep still, fighting the urge to squeal.  Cheerily, she clasps her hands together, smiling despite her erratic heartbeat, finally seeing the handsome Governor in the flesh.  “Mr. Faulkerson, I’m so glad to finally meet you.  I’m so excited to help you get you back in shape and tell my brother that I met his idol in per--”

“No! No! You can’t!” He blurts out, startling her, his face suddenly red with petulance. “Who says you can just do that?!”

“Uhm, ok. Hindi na lang pala.”  She whispers, taken aback by his outburst, tucking her hands behind her.

“RJ, I’ll take it from here.  Ako na bahalang mag-explain kay Maine.  Maine, I’ll page you once I am done here and we’ll talk about the specifics.”

“Yes po, Doc Bossing.” She gives RJ a salute and a slight nod, her face serious.  “Sir Richard.”  She acknowledges before leaving the room.

While Doc Bossing removes his sutures, RJ is on the phone with his lawyer instructing him to draft a non-disclosure agreement to be ready for his physiotherapist's signature before she moves in.
