Cute/Fluffy Chapter Warning
—————————————————————
The first time Chloe caught him, he was in a bath towel.
The whole scene was quite cute, actually. She decided to stop by Lux on her way home after a particularly exhausting case she had to deal with alone. Chloe had been really stressed out, especially since her partner hadn't showed up to help her. She wasn't coming over to yell at him, no. A relaxing evening with her partner was what Chloe wanted. Longed for.
The elevator doors dinged as they opened up to his apartment. She heard the shower running softly in the background and assumed Lucifer would be out in a few moments, but she wanted to warn him of her presence anyway.
"Lucifer!" Chloe called and walked towards the bathroom. As she neared, she heard the deep vibrato of his voice echo across the hallway. She fell silent and peeked through the slightly ajar door leading to the bathroom.
Lucifer was singing an Elvis Presley song in his bathroom mirror, the only thing on him was a smile and a bath towel draped around his torso. He had a comb in one hand brushing through his freshly wet hair. The other hand lay flat on the counter as he pushed himself forward to get a better view of his lovely locks.
"Would it be....a...sin?" Lucifer held the comb below his mouth as he sang, giving a thoughtful look at himself in the mirror. "If I...can't..." The comb quickly brushed through his hair before settling back below his lips. "help...falling in love..." A smile graced his face as he turned to walk out the door to get clothes. He fell still and dropped his confident manner upon seeing Chloe, her arms crossed and amusement lighting up her blue eyes.
"...with you," Lucifer chimed in an effort to lighten the mood, giving an awkward smile to the detective.
Chloe bit the inside of her cheek to stop from bursting out laughing. "That was adorable." In actuality, while she did think it was adorable, it also showed her the human side of Lucifer. The one vulnerable side of him that only certain people got to see.
"Thank you, Detective. But you really should knock first, I could arrest you for breaking and entering." He teased, his usual smirk on his lips. Chloe rolled her eyes.
"You said the door is always open, and I'll have you know that I called your name when I first got here." She subtly leaned against the door frame. "But if you're too busy having a little dance party by yourself, then I'd be happy to leave..."
"No, no!" He quickly stopped her train of thought. Chloe smirked before turning and walking over to his couch. "I was just finishing up, darling. I'll be only a minute." The devil hurried up and changed in his bedroom, making his way to Chloe in a nice suit like always once he was finished. They sat next to each other on his couch and began catching up on the case she had been working on.
Night fell over the city as the minutes turned into hours. Chloe was glad that she could spend time with her partner outside of work, and Lucifer, while embarrassed he had been caught singing to himself, loved that his partner stopped by to catch up with him.
The first time Lucifer caught her, she was drunk.
Linda, Maze, Ella, and Chloe decided it would be a good idea to have a girls night out together. They made a strict rule enforcing that there were no rules, which made no sense to Lucifer whatsoever. What was the point of making a rule stating there were no rules? With his mind boggled, Lucifer opted not to join in the fun but offered the ladies a VIP pass at Lux. This allowed them to order as many drinks as they wanted free of charge and he could also keep his eye on the ladies.
All of them showed up wearing tightly fit dresses, sparkling earrings, and heels of some kind. Lucifer stood on the top balcony of his stairs overlooking the dance floor. He watched with a bottle of scotch in his hand as the group nervously entered, heading towards the bar for their first round of drinks.
The evening passed by and became rambunctious as the woman couldn't hold their liquor anymore. Maze wasn't fazed in the slightest by the alcohol, Lucifer knew, but her mood did lighten up with the rest of the girls. She joined Linda who drank shots off of stranger's stomachs and then, proceeded to scream in delight after she downed them. With her hand on his chest, Ella was in the corner of the bar flirting with a blonde haired man looking to be in his late forties. Lucifer scanned the area and realized he couldn't find Chloe. Just a moment ago, the detective was busy finishing her fourth Margarita.
As the panic began to sink into his chest, a loud screech of a microphone momentarily filled the bar. Lucifer's eyes darted over to the sound. There, up on stage, was Chloe Decker drunkenly trying to take the microphone out of its stand. She cleared her throat into the mic once she successfully had it in her hands.
"H-He-Hello! M-My name is," Stuttering, her eyes fell to the floor before she stood up straight and gained her usual confident manner. "My name...is Chloe Decker. And I'm going to sing a wonderful song for all of you!"
"My song of choice is Since You Been Gone by my girl Kelly Clarkson. H-Hit it, boys!" Linda cheered a loud yippee before the opening music began to play.
Chloe smiled her widest grin Lucifer had ever seen, making him smile out of habit. Never had Lucifer ever heard her sing before and he was very intrigued on how she would sound. While she was no Whitney Houston, he assumed that her voice wouldn't be the very worst.
He was dead wrong.
"Here's the thing, we started out friends. It was cool but it was all pretend," She emphasized the last word and tried to sing a fancy riff, failing horribly at it. Lucifer cringed as she wobbled on the stage to the beat of the music. Oh Father, he thought miserably.
"But since you been gone!" Chloe belted out with the voice of a dying chicken. Maze awkwardly stepped on stage and grabbed the detective's arm, taking her away. The audience in the club began clapping as the two made their way off stage. Thinking it was because of her amazing performance, Chloe smiled and started thanking everyone she passed by.
How adorable, Lucifer mused to himself, watching his partner and demon leave through Lux's doors. Chloe would have a throbbing hangover tomorrow morning and would definitely call in sick to work, which meant her day would be spent mostly sleeping. He knew just what to do.
Chloe awoke the next morning with a glass of water on her bedside table, ibuprofen, and a note reading: Maze made sure you got home safely. I wanted you to have this in case you ever decided to pursue a career in singing. Love, Lucifer.
A cassette was taped to the back of the note. Chloe cautiously pressed play, and the sound of her drunken, offbeat voice rang through her ears. She groaned and frantically turned it off before chucking the cassette across the room. It thumped against her doorframe. A few seconds ticked by and Chloe let out a small laugh.
Drunk Chloe was not nearly as good a singer as Sober Lucifer.

Just a cute little idea I thought of and wanted to put into words. Lucifer is a pretty great singer and I always thought Chloe probably wouldn't be like him. Who knows?
Hope you liked it! Lemme know if you did :)
