I'm Imell.

I can't find my blow dryer...ha! Who am i kidding..i don't have a blow dryer,though i wish i had one.There is many things i don't have...I take out my jeans which are not too tight and a floral dress top which covers up to my butt and has long sleeves.I don't apply any make up, it's not like I don't have any,but I think I'd look ridiculous in make up,also i can't even apply lipgloss without smearing it up to my nose..though my bestie Sadie looks pretty in make up.
I really wish i was like her,petite,pretty,dirty blonde hair and a bit tall,but I'm the opposite of Sadie,fat,ugly,chubby cheeks,dark hair and short.
I wear my flat shoes and go downstairs only to find mom and dad quarrelling for who knows what now this time.I ignore them and sit on my chair which is next to the window,far from the dinning table,i sit alone, it's not like they notice me.
I find a cup of coffee and pancakes which are burnt..and the coffee so cold,i can't ask mom why because she'll just say "serves you right for waking up late", I've heard that a lot.So i grab an apple from the fruit bowl and walk to school,i have to be there by 7:00 am, it's quite a long distance from my place to Miami high school.
So by the time i get there I'm sweating a little which is a bit uncomfortable.
I walk in school and i see a lot of familiar faces,laughing,interacting and talking happily,I walk to my locker and put the combination.
My first class is Mathematics,which i like.I shove my bagpack in my locker then go to the washrooms,i just need to wash my face to cool me down a bit.
Once I'm in,some of the cheerleaders walk in and lock the door,they are all talking about their fancy lives and all.I splash water over my face twice and look into the mirror, There's a girl next to me who's applying make up so well.
I am hoping that they won't notice me and start teasing me like they usually do.
I'm almost done and I open the door to leave but I'm greeted by Simone's face, she's the leader of the cheerleading group, and she's in her second year of high school and she's so tan which really is hot to me.
I try to smile at her so that she won't be mean to me but she pushes me back inside.
"Didn't you all see Imell here?",she asks the rest who all turn to face me.
"Wow, she's wearing jeans today...",They laugh
"I like your top Imell",
"Thank you", I mutter and try to leave.
"I didn't say you could leave..",She pushes me and i fall landing on my butt.
Yeah, that's normal to me,being shoved, pushed, harrased.
I feel tears threatening to come out and i fight them back.
I stand up and wash my hands while they laugh then get out.
"Imell!",I turn around to see my bestie,Sadie with a new guy next to her.He looks cute,deep dark eyes,tall,dark hair and quite mascular,he has pink lips which are cute too.
"Hey...",I say smiling.
"This is my cousin Taylor Heathcliff, he'll be studying here,so I'm just showing him around,Taylor,this is my bestie Imell",Sadie says smiling.
He looks at me head to toe then chuckles,noticing how fat i am.
"Hey Taylor,welcome to Jeckyll High",I say,looking at Sadie who is much focused on her iphone.
"Imell,why don't you show him around, Rick just texted me..see you both later",she says and leaves.
Rick is Sadie all time boyfriend.They have been dating since we were in junior​.
"So, you're a bit over size..",Taylor says, I don't know if that's a compliment or an insult.
"Thank you?",It was more of a question than a statement I shrug.We start walking silently, I don't know what to say to him because i feel hurt about what he just said.
"So who is your boyfriend?,Sadie has Rick..",
"No one..",I say making it look like i don't even care.But i do,at 17, I haven't had my first kiss yet..
"I mean who would even want to date you..",he chuckles.I stop in my tracks and turn to face him.He's still laughing.I decide i hate him,so much,and i promise myself​ that moment that I will never talk to him again.
Suddenly his eyes look dark in an evil way,he looks abnormally tall,and his dark hair looks like black moth balls,all that seemed cute a few minutes ago look ugly now.
I walk away from him.
I'm Imell Mellinnah,17 years old, I don't have to describe my features because you'll start yawning or even walk away.
I love ballet,we have a ballet studio in school and i go there sometimes just to watch and try alone but fail, I'd like to be the swan one day,i have already been a swan several times,in my dreams.
I would love to be in Simone's position as a cheerleader, I'd love to participate in the yearly swimming competition and win a trip for our class to Zambezia.
I'd love to be the beauty queen of Jeckyll high.
In short, I'd like to have everything,be popular,petite and all.
But it's all impossible.

I knock on William Hunnington.The school's hottie.Like my day couldn't get any worse.
He holds me by my waist to stop me from falling and looks at me, I don't even look at him.I'm not in tears or anything but,i just don't want him to see my face.
I've always had a crush on William,who hasn't,he has it all, money,fame,looks,i liked him a lot and i know by now my face is crimson, I can feel my face burn.
I look up at him, his blue watery eyes.
"I'm sorry",i mumble and step back,rubbing my sweaty hands on my jeans.
"It's okay",he says.
He's the famous guy in Jeckyll high, he's the coach to the basketball team in school.
I had never talked to him,let alone stand next to him,i always went to watch him play and cheer for him
"What's your name?",he asks looking at me.
"Imell Mellinnah",I can hear my voice shake
"I'm william, call me Will",
"Nice to meet you",he seems nice.
"Are you a freshman?",
"Yeah",i say
"Oh... that's great",he smiles.
I don't know what to say.
"Wanna hang out sometime?",
Oh my God!he wants to hang .I'm screaming internally.
"Yeah..sure",I say like it's not a big deal.
"See you later",he says and leaves.
Right now,i just want to go and scream on Sadie's face with joy.
We go to the hall for the freshmen orientation which is pretty boring and i waste my time texting with Sadie and she's telling me about Rick but I can't​ tell her anything about William,or what her mean cousin said.
After the orientation i have my math class with Mr.Louis Carvajal.
I realise that Sadie has the same class,Sam too and other people that i know.
For the first time i found Maths boring,my mind wasn't settled and i was just thinking about hanging out with William.
I just met a person who didn't point out how fat i am.It was like a miracle,Maybe school wouldn't be so bad afterall.
After block one,we had the first lunch break, I waited for William,but he didn't come,i looked for him but i couldn't see him too,I thought I'd see him during the second lunch break but i didn't see him too, so i gave up looking for him,he was probably kidding,or i could see him some other day too.
If he'll remember me.
