Matt's P.O.V:
Since Vanessa was my sister, I could feel when something felt wrong. And it feels wrong right now. A pain in my right hand gave that fact away. She was either hurt, or in danger. I would have to tell Miles, because if she gets hurt, that could be all my fault. And I am not taking that chance. But Miles was no where to be seen. Absolutely nowhere. I had asked the whole pack if they had seen him, but he was nowhere. Unless... no he wouldn't. He couldn't. Would he? No. I mean... Maybe he found out about Katie? And he went over there, to see. I wanted to believe that he wouldn't, but Vanessa is his mate... and he would do anything to get her back. What if he hurt Katie? He wouldn't... but if it came to protecting his mate, he would do anything even if that meant hurting someone to get her back.
I break off into a run, heading towards Katie's house.
I didn't think he would do it. But he did. Katie was strapped to a chair, and Miles was forcing her to tell him where Vanessa was.
"Where is Vanessa?" He asks, getting closer to Katie. I hadn't walked out, because I wanted this information too. I knew he wouldn't ask her, if I was there.
"I don't know. She was here yesterday... but then she was gone. No note. Nothing!" She says trying to sound innocent.
"GONE! YOU'RE HER FRIEND! YOU SHOULD KNOW!" He roars, making me block my ears. I walk out, and run over to Katie, as some sort of shield.
"What are you thinking?" I ask. Miles rolls his eyes, and looks at me like I was an idiot.
"What do you think I'm doing? Eating popcorn? I'm finding where Vanessa is, whether you like it or not!"
"Not this way, Miles! She's innocent! And-" he cuts off my sentence.
"I care about Vanessa! And I want her back! I would of thought that as you're her brother, you would understand how precious she is! But obviously not." He says, storming out of the house, making sure he slams the door.I go on my knees, so that Katie and my face were at the height.
"You will forget about today. Miles never came here. Vanessa never got mentioned in our conversation, and the only thing you remember is that you woke up in the morning, and had a nap." I say, making her forget everything. Werewolves could do that. They could make people forget certain things, but it had some catches. If you were meant to be mates, then you would literally see everything that has happened in there lives. From there eyes. That's what happened with Vanessa, she was human, but I exposed myself when I first phased and Miles had to block her memory. And then they were mates. He changed her, but what made me even more annoyed was that he never asked me. He never asked if he could end my sisters life as a human.
Katie nods, and I unstrap her.Miles was waiting outside, waiting for me.
"Why don't you care? She's your sister!" He accuses. I roll my eyes, and walk up to him, banging my hands on his chest.
"I do care! SO DON'T SAY I DON'T!" I yell. I hated when people would guess that they knew there situation, when in actual fact they didn't.
Miles looks down at the ground, and tries to put an 'I'm sorry' face on. I walk away, and he follows.I felt another sharp pain in my heart, and I reacted making Miles notice.
"What is it?" He asks, leaning down to me, so he can see what's happening.
"It's Vanessa... she's in danger." I say, before the pain gets stronger. I'm sorry Vanessa.
