CHAPTER 7- WHO AM I?
"What are you doing?" I ask, sliding off of his back, when he lets me finally go. I drop to the floor of concrete, and wince. My arm was aching from all the hitting I was doing to his back.
"This is your home. And you can never go back. Sorry not sorry." He says, laughing. I get up from the concrete in werewolf speed, and get up to choke his neck. He smiles, his face getting redder.
"You'll never get away with this." I say, getting closer and closer to him.
"I've got this far. And I plan on getting further." He says, walking to a tree, and getting knife from his pocket. I knew he wouldn't hurt me. Otherwise, he would of done it sooner.
"Miles will come for me." I say, my voice not hiding the nerves.
"Yeah. He will. But by then, you'll be mine." He hisses, grabbing my arm, and dragging me for minutes. I couldn't escape his grasp, so I did what anyone would of done. I bit him. He dropped my hand, and I broke off into a run. I was running longer then I thought I would be.
Keep going Vanessa. You can do this. Conquer the world. Help people. Just get away from Thomas, and you'll be perfect.Getting thrown to the ground, I scream. I wasn't scared, but I needed people to know what was going on here. Whether I was being killed, or whether Thomas and I were just playing a harmless game.
"Miles won't hear your screams if your dead. Now hush little one." He says, before covering my eyes with a piece of his t-shirt. I try and rip it off, but he wouldn't let me get that far.I decided to stay quiet. Maybe because, if I was going to stay alive, I wanted to kill him.
But when he sat me down on a bed, and a sharp pain is released into my arm, I know I should of said something.
"Feel that pain?" He asks. I look around me, only seeing white. When he finally let the t-shirt fall to the ground, I was surprised by what I saw. People were surrounding me, obviously getting my scent. I rush out of my seated position, and see that one person looked familiar. Acelyn. The peacekeeper out of all the Alpha's. It all made sense now. Acelyn wasn't a peacekeeper. The only thing she made 'peace' with was the fact that Thomas killed people. I knew the rumours. If you didn't love Thomas he wouldn't love you. Simple.
"Acelyn?" I ask, looking at her with a frown. She smiles, and waves.
"Vanessa, I'm happy to finally meet you." She says, taking a step towards me. I step back, falling on the bed again. Scanning through Acelyn's head, I notice something. She wasn't here for Thomas. She was here for me. She had a contract, and wanted me to sign it. I knew it would be about Thomas, before I even read it.
"I won't sign it." I say, handing it back to her.
"You will. Eventually." Says Thomas, grabbing the piece of paper.
"You know what rymes with Vanessa?" I ask. He shrugs his shoulders, and smiles.
"No." He says, frowning.
"Never."
