What's Next

Chapter 20

When I woke up the next morning, I stepped into the bathroom and quickly put my hair into a high pony. I walked over to my closet and took out a pair of dark wash jeans, and a white hoodie. 

Picking up my book bag, I shoved in my sketchpad, IPhone, Pencils and notebook. 

I walked down the stairs and into the kitchen, Tyler was sitting at the table, "I made you some eggs.."

I mumbled a thanks and skipped the eggs, and just grabbed a granola bar. Expecting Emma any minute. 

I slipped on my white converse and waited by the window.

Tyler walked over by me, "Ains, I can get ready real quick then we ca-"

"no, I'm going with Emma. I'm fine without you."

His face looked hurt for a moment, but then he just turned around and walked up stairs. 

Emma pulled up 3 minutes later and I walked out. I slipped into the front seat and glanced over at her, "Mornin' "

She smiled at me, "Everything should be fine Ains, Tyler posted the video on Facebook last night, tagging all the people who commented on your post."

I sighed, "Good, I'm still  not talking to him.."

"What  happened?"

I grunted, "Tyler didn't believe me when I tried telling him that it was Vivian. Then he invited the Bitch over! It wasn't okay!"

Emma sighed, "Seems legit."

We pulled up to school and I got out with Emma. Everyone was giving me different looks. Some of Jealousy, regret, and pity.

I walked to my locker and Mindi was there, with a new guy. Of course. 

She scoffed when she was me, "Oh look! The charity case!"

"What the hell Mindi... How am I a charity case?"

She flipped her dyed blonde hair, "Because, Tyler only did that for you since he's forced to live with you."

I laughed, "He did that because he cares about me, unlike any guy you've banged.."

She glared at me then walked away with her random dude of the day. I think I'll call them that from now on.. Oo, I'll make a list in my locker.

I quickly opened my locker and put a sticky note onto the door of it, on the inside by the mirror. 

I wrote 'Random Dude of The Day' at the top. I put 1. Eddie. 

I think the dude today was..

Umm..

Justin?

Yeah Justin. 

2.Justin 

Anyways, I was about to leave when Tyler lightly grabbed my wrists, dragging me into a janitor's closet.

"Tyler what the hell."

"Let me explain.. Please.."

I sighed, "Fine."

He smiled, "I was wrong, I don't trust girls. You're different thought. I should have trusted you. I'm so sorry Ainsley.. An the Vivian thing? I never invited her. I wouldn't have done that, ever. Even though I didn't exactly trust you at the moment, I wouldn't hurt you like that."

I looked at the ground, " I can accept the apology and all, but I'm a little hurt you didn't trust me.."

"I'll make it up to you. I promise."

I looked into his eyes, "How.."

He cupped my face with his hands, "I'll tell you my biggest secret."

I nodded my head, "Okay..."

He sighed, "Okay, my parents. They seem all fine and dandy but.. They're drifting apart. They're considering divorce. When they're gone they go to different places, trying to rebuild they're relationship. It never works."

I pulled him closer and hugged him, I kinda know how that feels.. My aunt and uncle drifted apart. My cousins said it hurt like hell to see you're biggest example of love, fall apart. 

We stayed like that for awhile, until I heard the 5 minute warning bell, "Oh shit, we gotta get to class."

He smirked at me, "Or we could skip..?"

I glared at him, "No way, I need perfect attendance."

He whined like a little kid, "Come ooonnnn, Ainsyyyyyy Pleaseee"

I couldn't help it but laugh, "Fine! But you so totally owe me."

He grinned at me and pecked my lips, "Oh don't worry I will."

He lead me out and into his car, it felt weird skipping.. I've never done it before.

We got in and drove to the Park, we're skipping school to go to the park?..

We got out and he took my hand, leading me to the bridge. He sat on the ledge and patted the spot by him, signalling for me to sit. I took the spot and we watched the ducks in the water. It was nice.

He draped his arm over my shoulders, i rested my head on his shoulder.

He kissed my head, it was such an amazing moment.. Until he pushed me in.

I screamed the whole fall down, when i surfaced I screamed at Tyler, "What the hell! You idiot!"

He laughed an jumped in too, nearly landing on me.

I quickly tried killing him, by shoving his head under the water. What else would I do?

He grabbed me wrists and pulled my face to his, capturing my lips with his. I melted into the kissing allowing my hands to tangle into his hair. 

"Hey! Get out of there! Children are watching!" 

We turned around to see an old woman with two giggling girls with her. 

Tyler and I busted out  laughing, we couldn't helpt it. It was too damn funny. 

We got out of the water and it was already 1:00 so we decided to go for lunch. 

We pulled into the parking lot of a small diner and Tyler lead me in. We sat at a small booth by the window. 

The waitress came over and asked us why we were soaked. Tyler told her we fell from heaven and landed in a lake, and that we were Good looking angels who shouldn't have to pay for food. 

She looked at us like we were freaks. 

A different waitress came and asked for our orders.Tyler got a burger and I got a bacon burger. We ate while making small talk. 

When we left it was around 2:30 so we went home.

The rest of the night was un-eventful. Me sketching, Tyler watching TV. Us kissing and cuddling before bed. It was a pretty nice day. One I will never forget.
