Obon Festival [Genos x Reader]

Genos emerged from the lava. You knew it was him, you just knew it. Your heart almost leapt out of your chest when you saw him. Only, everyone else was still on guard after the last attack so you had to push your way out from behind.

"G E N O S !" You cried out as you made a break for it. Through damaged hearing and blurred vision he knew you were coming, he was so relieved that you were safe. He was so happy to be reunited with you that he didn't think about how hot he still was. A hot white hand reached out for you but right before you could fall into Genos's arms, Saitama appeared with lightning speed in between you two. A single arm raised with a fist balled, ready to punch. Genos was too shell shocked at the sudden appearance of his teacher and the seeming betrayal that he didn't have time to react.

Genos waited for the sudden impact.

But, the pain didn't come. A huge gust of wind came blew over Genos, extinguishing the heat from the surface of his body. The teenager opened his golden eyes to see a single red fist only an inch from his face. 

"Oh, sorry Genos. I had to keep (Y/N) from being burned. I thought you would've known better but I guess young love makes people do stupid things." Genos's teacher said with a funny smile on his plain face. Saitama took a step back and you finally fell into the boy's arms. He hugged you so tight you were worried he was going to squeeze all the air out of you.

"Oi oi don't hurt her."  Tatsumaki, trying to sound annoyed but it was clear that she was happy to see her friend's crush ok. In fact, everyone was overjoyed at the sight of you and Genos reunited. 

"You're just as tough as your sensei." Came Bang with a thumbs up.  Saitama rubbed his nose in embarrassment. You laughed as you buried your face into Genos's neck. Gosh, you loved this guy. You started to cry a little bit just with all the emotions you've felt tonight. Genos saw this and gently wiped away a tear from your cheek with the utmost delicacy. You held his hand against your face and your foreheads met and you two slowly leaned in. Both your heart beats were beating together. You wanted to be so close to him. So, so close. You closed your eyes as your lips met his. Genos never thought lips could taste so sweet and feel so soft. A couple sparks flew from Genos partly because his tech was damaged and because he finally kissed YOU. he broke the kiss to just envelope you in another huge hug and he never wanted to let go. 

You were laughing and your heart felt so light. Your lips felt tingly and you never felt so GOOD. 

"THIS IS GROSS GUYS GET A ROOM."  Tatsumaki whined covering her face. Her sister laughed and motioned towards what remained of the festival and mentioned there still might be some candies apples left. Bang and Saitama also left talking about getting more udon noodles if that booth was still open.

You both watched the other heroes depart and you looked at him. 

"Genos, thanks for the most insane Obon festival a girl could ask for." You said with a sassy voice. A quick kiss on the corner of his mouth left him blushing all over again. He tried to look serious and stern as he said-

"You missed again (Y/N)! I thought I told you where you're supposed to kiss me!" Genos said, fighting a smile. His eyes twinkled. You hopped out of his embrace and booked it towards the festival. You looked back at a dumbfounded Genos and yelled as you ran-

"I SAW A THROWING DART BOOTH WITH ADORABLE HUGE STUFFED BUNNIES IF YOU WIN ME ONE I WILL GIVE YOU ANOTHER KISS!"

Genos chuckled and started to run to you. He wondered what he'd get if he won the whole booth...NO, EVERY GAME BOOTH IN THE ENTIRE FESTIVAL FOR YOU.
