I was sitting in my living room eating junk food and watching a new episode of my favorite show when there was a knock at my door

Y/n: aw man, give me a sec!

Wiping off my hands I looked out the peep hole but didn't see anyone

Y/n: damn kids

I sat back on the couch but heard knocking at my door again

Y/n: again?

I looked out the peep hole again but still didn't see anyone

Y/n: ok this is really starting to get annoying!

Not even two step away from the door and I heard knocking again. Irritated, I harshly opened the door only to be caught in a tight bear hug by nepeta

Nepeta: surpurrise!!

Y/n: nepeta!? What are you doing here?

Nepeta: just wanted to visit my best furrend!

Y/n: wait, were you the one knocking on my door?

Nepeta: yep~ :3

Y/n: I told you to stop doing that! You know how I think that's annoying!

Nepeta:  I-im sorry, mew're not mad at me are mew?

I rubbed her head making her nuzzle into my hand and purr

Y/n: no Im not mad at you, but can you just cool it with the pranks?

Nepeta: ok I purromise, so can I stay? Pleeease?

Y/n: *sigh* yeah sure, it beats being alone all day

Nepeta: yay!!

Nepeta ran into the living room and sat on the couch and stuffed her face with chips while I got us some drinks.
Over about a hour or two nepeta has been growing restless and started tossing and turning on the couch

Nepeta: *augh!!* Y/n I'm boooored!!

Y/n: what do you want me to do about it?

Nepeta: I wanna do somethiiing!

Y/n: like what?

Nepeta: I don't know, maybe just walk around town? Or something?

Y/n: ...Are you gonna stop bugging me if we do?

Nepeta: yes!

Y/n: fine let's go

Nepeta: YAY!! Come on hurry!

Y/n: hold on! At least let me lock the door!

Over the past hour or so Nepeta has been dragging me around town taking me to places like the book store, to get ice cream (which I paid for), and even to the pet shop which we soon got banned from because Nepeta tried to eat the fish in the fish tanks. But all in all it was a good day

Y/n: OK Nepeta it's getting late so let me take you home

Nepeta: nooo! I don't wanna go home yet!

Y/n: come on nep it's late and I'm really tired, Can you just do this one thing for me? Please?

Nepeta: ...ok if mew really want to, but I still don't wanna go home so I wanna spend the night at mew'r place

Y/n: I'm too tired to even argue with you right now so come on let's go

Nepeta jumped on my back with her arms wrapped around my neck and her legs wrapped around my waist

Nepeta: Im tired of walking so Carry me

Y/n: nep- 'you know what? Too tired, just roll with it'

Timeskip: back home

After the long and tiring walk back to my house I made us some dinner, we took a shower (separately) and got dressed for bed and since Nepeta didn't have any pajamas I let her use one of my t-shirts, I tried to get her into a pair of my pajama pants but being the stubborn kid she was said that they were too uncomfy and just wanted to sleep without them, thankfully my t-shirt was big enough to cover her waist so it wasn't really a big problem

Y/n: alright Nep you can sleep on my bed while I'll sleep on the couch, night

Nepeta: wait, c-can mew purrese stay and... Sleep with me?

Y/n: what? No way! Nepeta I can't sleep in the same bed as you,for God's sake you're half naked

Nepeta: purrese! I'm scared of the dark!

Y/n: ' too tired, just roll with it y/n!' fine move over

Nepeta scooted over so I could have enough room to lie on, I faced the other way so things couldn't get any more awkward between us but then I felt Nepeta spooning me

Y/n: Nepeta what you doing?!

Nepeta: hmmm mew're so warm~ I don't ever want to let mew go~

I got out of Nepeta's arm and looked her in the face

Y/n: nep you've been acting weird all day, you've been clingy and more playful then usual, what's up? Did something happen at your hive? Do you wanna talk about it?

Nepeta: no everything at my hive is fine...It's just...*blush*

Y/n: just what?

After a few seconds of silence Nepeta quickly gave me a peck on my lips and was had a green blush all over her face and I could feel my face heat up to

Nepeta: y/n...I'm flushed furr mew! I have furr as long as I can remember but I didn't know how to tell mew so I tired being more playful. Y/n mew're the best furrend I've had and I don't know what I would do without mew!

I didn't know what to say so I just wrapped my arms around her pulling her closer to me, I did feel the same way as her but I didn't know the she felt that way about me since she was so childish I thought she just saw me as a friend

Nepeta: y/n?

Y/n: nep I love you to, if I knew that you felt the same way I would have ask you out sooner

Nepeta: *hmph* well how could you not know? I was giving you so many hints

Y/n: sorry I thought you were just trying to be nice

Nepeta: so does this mean we're a couple meow?

Y/n: well I'm willing to give it a try, are you?

Nepeta: of course!

Nepeta snuggled up to my chest and I held her even tighter

Nepeta: goodnight y/n

Y/n: night nep
