War has fallen by the wayside. It's fallen out of favour. And rising in its place to settle international disputes?
Sport.
And in a world where everything rides on the Team? Athletes have become public figures just shy of royalty. And so they are protected as such, safely ensconced within huge estates when they aren't travelling the world, competing against other countries' corporate teams.
And ensconced with them?
Team Companions.

We'll see if anything happens with this one. It's a bit of a, what...I'm not even entirely sure how to class this one....an adult dystopian? I don't know. There's not much to work with yet. It may be another novella. It may not. We'll see.
