Mega Man X Reader

(Yaaay)

You are a robot master built by Dr. Light. (Of course. :\) and since Dr. Wily was trying to take over the world, (Surprise! :O) Dr. Light sent you and Mega Man to go stop him. (Award for most creative beginning goes to me)

Oh yeah, and then you got ambushed by evil robots. As they surrounded you, you backed up, but then saw they had both of you surrounded in a circle. You and Mega Man tried to fight them off by shooting energy pellets (FRIENDLINESS PELLETS AAAAAAAA I need to stop) but there were way too many of them. You turn to Mega Man. "It's been an honor fighting with you, Mega Man..."

He nods. "Same with you, (Y/n)."
After he turns back to the robots, he sighs and turns back to you. "I have an idea."

Your face brightened up. (Bright man, just... just...) "Great! That's exactly what we need." You smiled sincerely.

Mega Man avoided your gaze. "But it means only you can survive."

Your face fell. Fear and sadness was written all over your face, and Mega Man must have seen it, because his face had the same expression. "Mega Man, no..."

Mega Man shook his head. "I'm sorry." Before you could protest, Mega Man called on Rush, who flew down from the sky as a jet. You could only stare at Mega Man's solemn face as Rush flew away, whimpering at the loss of his owner.

You saw an explosion around where Mega Man was. You flinched and covered your mouth in shock, looking at the site of the explosion. You felt like you were about to cry...

But you had an idea. "Rush, turn around, we need to go back for Mega Man." Rush looked at you in confusion but then seemed to understand your idea, so he turned around and flew back towards Mega Man.

You landed on the ground, looking around. "Mega Man?" You looked around where the explosion happened. Scrap metal was strewn everywhere, making you shudder. "Mega Man, where are you?" No answer. At this point, you were literally crying.

But then you heard a voice.

"(Y-Y/n?) You came back...?" You recognized it right away. "Mega Man!" You rushed to where you heard the voice coming from and saw him laying on the ground, unable to move. "D-don't worry, I'll think of something..." You began to panic. But then- you guessed it- another idea. You held his arm behind your neck, supporting him so he could walk. (You know, like how soldiers support their wounded when they can't walk. ...Do I interrupt the story too much?)

You called on Rush, who bounded over to you, happy to see Mega Man okay. Rush turned into jet form again and you got on his back/platform (Idk???) This time carrying Mega Man with you.

You made it back to Dr. Light's lab and set Mega Man down on a couch. (ye, just pretend there's a random couch somewhere cuz why not) "Are you okay?" You asked him with concern. He nodded. "I'll be fine after a few repairs. But why did you come back?" You sat on the couch next to him. "Because... I care about you. Too much to leave you behind." You could feel a slight blush on your face. Mega Man smiled. "Wow. Thanks."

A few days later, Mega Man was totally ok (ye, he survived an explosion and he's totally fine a few days later) You decided it was time to confess. (OU CONFESSIONS) You told Mega Man to meet you on a small hill that had a fabulous (haha) view of the sunset.

So yeah, you both sat on the hill, watching the sunset, glad that you were both alive. You turned to Mega Man. "So... nice sunset." He nods. "It's really pretty." After a long pause, you finally say, "Hey... thanks for saving me the other day. We both would've been goners if it weren't for you."
He shrugs. "It's the least I can do for my best friend." You blushed a little. You were his best friend?
"Well... saving you is the least I can do for my boyfrie-" you stopped midsentence, blushing a bright pink. "Aw, I... just... s-sorry, that was just weird..." you cringe at the awkward silence as he stares at you. "So... you like me?" You look away in embarrassment. "Maybe... ... ... okay, yes, maybe I do like you."
He smiles. "That's really sweet of you." After another awkward silence, he finally says~ "You know... I like you too." You smile. "You love me?" He nods. Your blush is now a slight red, but it's hard to tell with the sunset. You lean your head on his shoulder. "I love you too."
