The Child Bride

Part One

Hi and i'm Maria Ali. I'm not your usual typical 16 year old. In fact, when I mean not your average 16 year old, I literally mean it, and by this I don't mean not getting into mischief or mayhem, because let's be real, who doesn't love getting into trouble.I grew up with 3 brothers, who were all around the age of 14 (and yes they were triplets), making me as you know it, 16. My parent's migrated from the rural part of India, to the vibrant and busy life of London in the hope of a better life; as did any other type of person who left behind their country to move some place else. My father worked in a factory in the heart of London, making clothes and selling them off for profit, whilst my mum was the manager of the company in which my father sold the clothes off from. Growing up was typical as the only daughter in the family, as I was really close to my father. We got along perfectly fine, and although he was seen as working a low paid job, I couldn't be any more proud of him.

I never thought in my life that my life would be ever any different to what people would expect, until one day I woke up to find my life had changed in the blink of an eye.

Hey Guys! Hope your enjoying it so far. I honestly can't wait to keep continue on writing this story because as the chapters go by, it will get far more interesting I hope. Forced marriages and child marriages is something that takes place around quite often in southern Asian countries unfortunately and isn't being resolved upon. I know me writing this story won't fix the problem entirely, but all I hope to do is to spread awareness at least.

Also guys, please don't judge if the first part isn't any good or isn't making sense at the moment, as it will do later on as the story progresses. I've written many stories and fanfics previously, but never on wattpad, so I would appreciate you guys not leaving anything too horrible in the comment section below.
