Weiss had met a boy one day while out in her back garde. She had spotted him hiding behind a wall. Weiss walked over and asked what he was doing there, but all he said was, "Exploring." Weiss had wondered how he got there, but decided she better keep her mouth shut. He didn't look too friendly.
Weiss soon had spotted him quite frequently hanging around the Schnee castle, her curiosity growing with every sight. One day, Weiss couldn't stand to have a stranger hanging around so often, so she approached him, holding her weapon out at his throat. "If you don't leave, I will have to take things into my own hands!" Weiss saw the mans hand move to his left hip to where she saw a dangerous looking sword. "We don't have to do this little girl. We can be friends..."
Weiss thought for a moment. Weiss never really had any friends, and the thought of having one, especially a guy, was quite appealing. "Ok. But you have to promise not to tell anyone about me hanging around with you."
"That should be easy enough. Your just the maid of this place aren't you? Your out here most of the time." Weiss was furious with such an assumption, but she thought it might be easier to handle if that's what he thought. "So what's your name beautiful?" he said with a smirk. Weiss thought it was wise to make a fake name if she was pretending to be someone else, so she went with, "Amy." Weiss felt a little guilty inside, but he seemed to believe her.
"Nice name. Mines Adam."
"So... are you sure we should be friends? I mean, any friend that I have ever had... doesn't last very long." Weiss said.
"Things are going to be fine. So, how's life, working for these.... people?" Weiss thought Adam sounded as though he didn't like her family, but she couldn't be too sure. It was best not to mention anything.
"Um... ok I guess... I go Sanctum at the moment, and well I WILL be going to Beacon Academy to become a true Huntress."
"Sounds like a wild dream for a MAID! HAHAHAHAHA!" Weiss glared at Adam and stormed off. How dare he say such a thing!
As days had went by, Adam and Weiss ended up to quite like the company of one and other. Although Adam had a job to do, he couldn't help but be distracted by the beauty of Weiss. Yes, she could be cold gearted, self centred and difficult to handle at times, but in all, she had grown on him. The two of them were much like eachother in a way.
This had been going on for 3 months before the good/bad news arrived.
"So.. Adam. Like I said a few months ago, I wanted to become a huntress. I, well, got accepted into Beacon Academy and am due to leave next week."
"Why didn't you tell me sooner?!" Adam said with rage.
"I didn't know how to tell you in a good sort of way and after a while I gave up. My only options were to leave without saying goodbye, or tell you and risk getting upset. I told you my friendships don't last long. There is Pyrrha.... but she's well.... nevermind..."
"Amy... is there anyway we can still see eachother?" Adam asked in hope.
"I...I don't know. I wish there was some way..."
"Send me a letter. Find a place where we can meet at the academy- at night, to be sure no one sees us."
"Maybe...." Weiss said with some uncertainty.
"You WILL. If I don't hear from you, we are through with whatever we have here. If you don't want to stay in contact with me while you are gone, why should either of us bother?""But... Ad--"
"No questions." Adam took right off without saying goodbye, leaving Weiss hurt, but also angry. Why did people always do this to her?
"This is why I never trust people or be nice to them!" Weiss said to herself in anger, "They always leave me in some way or another and therefore should not deserve what I can give." Weiss stormed back to her room and slammed the door.
AUTHOR'S NOTE:
Sorry if this chapter sounds a bit off. I kept re-reading it but nothing seemed to pop out at me to change. Anyway, it was just a flashback to kind of get what had happened in the past. Oh well, I mainly want to write what happens in the present anyway :)
