Alya Summers. A senior and one of my bestfriends speedwalked towards me, dragging along an unsuspecting freshman by his collar who looked like he was having a hard time breathing.
New meat?

I tried raising an eyebrow to express my confusion but failed and ended up raising both. Goddamit.

Upon closer inspection, I realized it was her cousin, Archer who had the infamous poop emoji drawn on his forehead.
A grin swept across my lips as I stared at the poor boy who looked like he was contemplating something between killing himself or killing his cousin.

She finally reached me and let Archer go. "He" She took a deepbreath before pointing at him "was acting like a total douche to some girl and telling her she looked like shit so I made him look like actual shit" She grinned and held her hand up for a highfive which I gladly returned.

I snorted, turning to Arch "Do you have something to say for yourself, Arch?" Typical behaviour.

His ears tinged pink when I stared at him, his head down, I chuckled remembering that he had a silly little crush on me in middle school, God knows why, with my frizzy hair and braces. He used to always stutter around me, I'm glad he's over it treating me more like a sister than anything.

Alya smacked the back of his head "You should be sorry, that girl looked like she was about to cry"

Archer looked up, the faint blush apparent on his cheeks along with slight anger "She was after my soul dude, wanting to be my girlfriend or whatever. I needed to get her off my back. What kind of succubus.." He trailed off when he saw that I had rolled the test in my hand and was about to smack him.

"Arch, you just became a freshman, How are you such a player" I said, my tone reprimanding him, my paper half raised and Alya glaring at him.

"I'm a pretty boy, ladies just cant get enough of this" He said, winking and gesturing to himself.

I rolled my eyes at him smacking him once with my paper before taking out my keybooks from my bag. He groaned and muttered something about domestic abuse before walking to Alyas car.

We were currently standing in the schools parking lot, me waiting for my ride and Alya walking to her car.

It was practically deserted, with the exception of a few cars.

Considering I stayed up late in the library, Alya had cheer practice and Archer was preparing for his play, it made sense that we were one of the few.
Most of my other friends had left already.

Alya gave me a short hug, knowing that I was just going to decline her offer to drop me home if she offered, before walking to the car.

She stopped midway and turned around before yelling "How did the results go?"

I let out a laugh beford yelling "ALL A's and one C" back at her to which she grinned and mouthed 'Thats my girl'

...or she couldve just mouthed "imma hurl" ..I cant really see well without my glasses, which were currently in two pieces at the side of my bagpack.

Nobody questioned the C knowing my inability to understand anything in math class.

I started walking towards my house, knowing that I needed the exercise as Alya and Archer sped the opposite way.

It took me about 15 minutes to reach the crossroads that led to my home.

"My ride" was just an excuse to get Alya off my back, I lived in a, well, different neighbourhood.
Nobody knows where I live because I can see how money influences people and I, Aria Fray Thorne, am the richest of the rich but people dont need to know that. It was all my fathers idea of a "perfect school experience" which basically consisted of me going by Ria Thorne, not the soon to be CEO of Fray industries.
