Chapter 3

I awoke to my forehead being prodded by my big sister. "Good morning sleepy head." She grinned ear to ear.

I groaned and got up, most of the students here have already left the building to get themselves ready for the day, while others were chatting amongst themselves still in their pyjama's or in school uniforms.

Liz gave me her hand and pulled me up. "Get yourself suited up and meet me outside." She kisses my forehead and gave me my clothes that where draped on her arm and waved me goodbye as she left.

I got myself dressed in my battle outfit, it may not seem like it on the outside, a pair of black jeans, an embroidered black and red waist coat with a long sleeved black buttoned shirt and a pair of black boots, but this outfit can outlast any Atlus tech armour can take any beating a Grimm might give me if my aura goes down. After I suited myself up, I brushed my teeth and went outside to meet up with sis.

"Hey you're looking good." Elizabeth said, leaning against a wall. "Come on, everyone is waiting for us at the mess hall." She grabbed my hand and guided me towards a tall building lined with pillars, they weren't there for support, more for aesthetic.

As we arrived Elizabeth and I scanned the room, there weren't many people in the mess hall but there was enough for us to take our time searching for the pointed autumn coloured rabbit ears. We walked over to them to see Zoe, Lauren, Yang, Ruby and a short haired blond boy talking to each other, Lauren turned her head and smiled.

"Welcome back to the land of the living Alex, I hope Liz didn't disrupt your much needed beauty sleep." Lauren teased.

"Not really, however the amount of beauty sleep I need doesn't even compare to yours and it really hasn't done much for you." I smirked and sat down next to her.

Ruby, Yang and the Blond kid just stared in awe with their mouths a gaped, they thought she was going to get mad at such a reply but instead I just got a light punch to the shoulder.

"Nice insult, two points for you I guess." She chuckled and looked at the three still in awe. "This is normal for us." They sighed in relief.

"So, did you guys sleep well?" I asked and they nodded.

"Oh, before I forget I need to introduce you to someone." Ruby said.

"Is it the blond guy next to you, who hasn't said a thing, not even a hi." I stared blankly at the guy, frozen on the spot as he was about to put spaghetti in his mouth.

He dropped his fork and composed himself. "M-my name is Jaune Arc, it's nice to meet you, Ruby has told me about you."

"Well I'm honoured." I smirked.

A plate clunked before me, a stack of waffles with whipped cream and chocolate syrup drizzled over it, rested on said plate. I looked up to see my sister smiling and holding another plate with the same thing. "They were serving them." She spoke before I could say anything.

She always knew what I like and when, I cut a small piece of the waffle with a fork and took a bite, it was heaven. I sighed to myself and savoured each bite.

"So, where were we?" Zoe spoke up to start the conversation.

"We were talking about our semblance." Yang replied.

"Well you guys know about ours." Laruen points to herself and Zoe.

"Well my semblance is speed." Ruby spokes. "I'm able to accelerate at a high rate of nots."

"I've had first-hand experience with that when you were drooling on my weapon." I smirked at her, seeing her face turning red with blush.

"And mine is the ability to draw strength from hits." Yang said. "Whenever anyone hits me I hit them back stronger." Her smile turns into a grin.
