The locker room is loud as we change back into our cheerleading outfits. We had to change out of them while we practiced our routines during PE so that they could stay nice for the games today. I am just slipping my PE shorts off of my legs when I feel a slap on my ass, my eyes widening in shock."Damn girl. That ass though."
I playfully smack Nelly as she laugh at the surprised look on my face, fixing the straps of my lace underwear that got rolled up from taking my shorts off.
"Don't do that hoe. I almost had a heart attack."
She simply chuckles as I roll my eyes, reaching into my locker to get my uniform back out. I slide my black spandex shorts on underneath my skirt before pulling the tight shirt over my head, making sure that my ponytail wasn't messed up. I look in the mirror of my compact as I put a little bit more powder on my face so that my foundation doesn't come off when I sweat, reapplying my lip gloss and rubbing my lips together. Nelly watches all of this in fascination before sitting down on the bench beside me, waiting for me to do the same.
Nelly has never been good at doing her makeup. Honestly, she doesn't need it. She looks perfectly fine without it with her rosy cheeks and practically perfect skin. She insists on wearing it on game days though, saying that she feels left out when everyone else around her is wearing it while she isn't. I sit down in front of her and take out the makeup that I bought specifically for her, taking out my brushes as well.
I start with her foundation, using a beauty blender to blend it out so that I don't have to coat her face in the stuff. I put on a creme concealer as well as creme contouring stuff, blending it out with a different blender. I powder her face with translucent powder before putting on her blush and highlight, loving the way the powder sparkles on her high cheekbones. I carefully do her eyeliner and mascara, only putting on a little because her eyelashes are already so long. I also don't forget to fill in her eyebrows. The last time I forgot to do them she threw a fit and said that it made her look weird. I finish it off by putting the same light pink lip gloss on her lips, showing her her reflection in the mirror when I finish.
"Thank you Ara! You always do such a good job" she says while making different faces in the mirror. I chuckle before fixing her bow, making sure that it is straight on the back of her head.
"Come on, it's time to go."
We walk out of the locker room and onto the court, watching the players of the guy's freshman team warm up for their game. The JV team is going to play at the same time but on the other court, making me upset that I won't get to watch Jungkook play. That's ok though because I will get to cheer for his game next week when they play again. The week after that I will get to watch the girl's teams play while the JV and freshman cheer squads get to cheer for the guys.
I find my spot and set my pompoms down, stretching my arms as I roll my neck from side to side. I also roll both of my ankles, making sure that I stretch them out so that I don't get hurt later on. When I feel as if it is good enough I sit down on the floor, putting my legs out to the sides as I stretch some more. I stretch out my front splits as well as my side splits, working on pointing my toes. I finally stand and get into position, my pompoms in my hand as we all stand in a line.
I watch as the game starts, our team getting the ball from the tip off. We cheer and I kick my foot up in the air as I smile as widely as I can towards the people watching in the stands, trying to get them pumped up. This goes on the entire game until the varsity game starts, even more people showing up to watch. It's kind of sad, but the main event is obviously the varsity game. I watch as the number of people on our side of the stands practically triples in size, it a sea of our school colors.
