Her jaw dropped to the floor and so did her tap shoes.
"Oh kenz." she whispered, sitting on the bench next to me. She looked sympathetic for a second and then her face was filled with anger. Her mouth opened to say something but then I interrupted.
"Just kidding!" I said. Maddie's face frowned and she pushed me over.
"Ow!" I said
"We'll talk about this later." She looked at me and grumbled something I couldn't hear. Then she shoved her tap shoes in her bag and pulled out her jazz shoes. Then, she walked back in to studio A for her jazz private. Just then my mom walked in and we went to go get a treat before dance. When we arrived at the cafe I jumped out of the car and grabbed a chocolate bar. we sat down and I remembered what day it was. Since today was Monday, it was pyramid day. And we all knew who would be at the bottom. Me. Shaking the thought aside, I climbed into the front seat of the car and we went back to the studio. When we got back Nia, Holly, Chloe, and Christi were the only ones there.
"Hey Kenzie!" Chloe said. Nia only nodded. She was probably still mad at me. I decided to say something.
"Nia, I have apologized a million times! I didn't mean to push you on stage. My costume was too big for me, so I tripped! If Abby gets mad at you I will stand up for you! IM SORRY!" I said. I slumped down in my seat and crossed my arms. Nia just stared at me and so did Holly. I turned my head .
"Mackenzie, my brother died yesterday in a car accident." Nia said, with a single tear rolling down her cheek. Just then Kelly came in with Brooke and Paige and we pretended to be talking to each other. If Kelly knew she would make a big deal, like always. Soon the other girls and moms trickled in and then walked in Maddie with a new sparkle crop top and pink booty shorts. My mom looked at me and I knew what to do. Maddie's extra dance classes had to be kept a secret or else the other moms like Kelly and Christi will go ballistic. Just then two girls with their mom walked in. The first girl had a OXYjEN crop top on and matching booty shorts. The second girl had on the exact same outfit on as me. We had on a red and black ALDC crop top on and red booty shorts.
"Hi my name is Maddie and me and my sister McKenna are new members of the ALDC." Maddie said with a perky smile and a perfect bun. Maddie's face turned tomato red and my mom looked confused. Kelly nudged her and said
"Melissa, you're staring." She looked away and started to text someone. Probably Greg, my new step dad. Then, Kendall looked around and said
"You could be twins."
