Earth

The blonde, skinny girl plummeted to earth with nothing but the light blue dress on her body. She was shaking, and nervous. Earth was a lot colder, and darker, than she thought it would be. Her mother had shown her pictures of the planet, and she was sure that there was blue sky in them. Her mother, had also shown her a photo of a woman, that she had to find. Because that was her job. That was the reason she had to come here, to earth.
All Taylor knew, was that her name was Karlie Kloss.
She knew she had to find her, but right at this moment her legs are too weak to move.
She brings her knees to her chest, and let's out a sob. She's cold, and even the gentle flickering of the far off stars couldn't calm her.

Karlie was already drinking her fifth cup of coffee for the day, and a gentle tremble was running through her fingertips. It was dark out, and she knew that she'd promised herself that she would sleep in her bed tonight. She was tired, her eyelids drooping.
Turning on her phone, she sees that it is nearly midnight.
Groaning as she gets up from the chair that she has been sat in all day, she heads into the elevator. She is the last person in the building, and as she walks through the main doors that lead outside, she feels even smaller. Her building was big, and it gave her a headache if she looked up.
The sound of her heels clicking against the pavement echo's around her. It has rained earlier today, and the evidence of it was scattered in messy puddles, not that Karlie had seen it, because as always, she had her head stuck in her work.
She started to worry that it would rain again, because she didn't have a coat.
New York City had always seemed like the city of dreams to her, it had always held so many opportunities. It had been her dream ever since she was a child, and her she was, finally living in it. She has to admit, it isn't is great as she thought it would be.
She is always so busy, that she doesn't get to go home. In fact, she barely gets to go outside. Karlie knows that is the price she has to pay for being a multi millionaire.
She sighs, and the smell of the rain on the pavement calms her. She shouldn't have had that much coffee, she knows that it isn't good for her, but she wouldn't be able to get through the day without it.
She stops when she hears a sound, crying. Looking around her, she sees a body.
"Hello?" She slowly steps towards it, and discovers that it is a woman. A woman dressed in nothing but a dress.
"Hi..." She stutters.
Taylor can't see the face of the woman standing in front of her.
"Are you okay? You must be cold..." Karlie wishes she had a coat to give the woman. "What's your name?"
"Taylor..." Her voice is shaking.
"Would you like to come back to my apartment? And warm up a little?"
"That... Would be nice... Thank you." Taylor accepts the hand that helps her up, although she still feels slightly wary of this stranger. "What's your name?"
Karlie smiles, because she is glad that this woman - Taylor, doesn't know who she is. That's a relief.
"My name is Karlie. Karlie Kloss." A shiver goes up Taylor's spine, and she freezes.
This is her? Taylor wonders, as she starts walking again.
"You have a really... Nice name, Karlie." Taylor likes the way her name rolls off of her tongue.
"So do you, Taylor." She tells her.

Karlie's apartment is unlike anything Taylor has ever seen.
As soon as they get through the front door, Taylor notices Karlie take off her shoes. Karlie moans.
"You do not know how good it feels, to finally be out of those damn shoes."
Taylor laughs. She wonders if Karlie knows why she's here, and if she knows why she stumbled across her.
"Your place is so... Pretty." Taylor stands by the door, her arms across her chest. She is still cold, and is shivering gently.
"Thanks. Would you like a bath? Or a shower? I'll see if I can find you some spare clothes or something." Karlie walks off into another part of her apartment, and Taylor wants to follow her, but doesn't want to invade Karlie's privacy.
"Where are you from?" Karlie calls, and Taylor has to make up a lie.
"Um..." Think, Taylor, Think! She tells herself. "I'm not really sure."
"Oh." Karlie's voice is quiet, but not judgemental.
"How did you get here?"
"I... Flew." Taylor's mom had told her about these funny things called planes. Taylor wanted to fly in one, one day.
"Here, I hope these fit you." Karlie hands Taylor a pair of grey track pants and a white t-shirt.
"Thank you, Karlie."
"Have you had anything to eat?"
"No..." Taylor doesn't want to have to explain her eating habits to Karlie.
"Can I get you something? I think I have left over Chinese food from last night?"
Karlie's goes over to the fridge, and pulls out the carton of food.
"I... Only... Um, eat natural food." Taylor feels embarrassed, and looks down at the floor. If only she could tell Karlie...
"Oh, that's fine. Can I get you an apple? I could make a salad?" Karlie knows she hasn't cooked anything in her own kitchen in so long, when it used to be one of her favourite things to do.
"Thank you."
"You could go and have a shower, while I get it ready?"
Taylor nods, and Karlie leads her into her bedroom, and through to the on suite.
"Take as long as you need." Karlie says, and shuts the door behind her.
Taylor is left speechless, and looks at herself in the mirror.
She takes a deep breath, causing the mirror to fog up.
She hasn't used a shower before, but as she slips out of the dress, and steps in the warm mist of water, she laughs. It is like... Warm rain.
She has to stop herself from staying in there any longer than necessary, but she decides that showers are her new favourite thing here on earth.
Taylor had washed her hair for the first time, because where she was from, you were clean all of the time.
You simply... Didn't get dirty.
You had one outfit, in Taylor's case it was the blue dress, which means that she is one of the people who get to travel to earth. Others, like her brother, who wore red, could only dream about it. Taylor knew she was lucky, because the fact she got to come here meant she was pure. She was perfect. She was kind. She was caring. She made people happy.
You see, Taylor was here on earth for one reason, and one reason only.
She was here to make Karlie Kloss happy. Teach her how to live. Make her realize that life is not just about work, or money. Because at the end of the day, that is her job.
She is a bright, bubbly, happy person. She is kind, and she cares about everyone.
There were three rules, that Taylor was given before she came here.
One: Never, Under any circumstance, reveal why you are on earth, and your purpose.
Two: Never fall in love with a human.
Three: Never use your abilities under any circumstances (unless you are sending word back to our planet about your journey).
Taylor thinks she might have some trouble following the second rule.
