(Kaylor) This Love

"Austin!" Taylor stands up, and flings her arms around her brothers neck.
He picks her up and spins her around.
People would probably think that they were odd, considering that Austin was dressed in all red and Taylor in blue.
"What are you doing here?" She says, and Austin smiles.
"Am I not allowed to visit my sister?"
"Austin, you know that... Red people aren't granted permission to come to Earth unless there is something really important happening at home... or I'm doing something wrong..." Taylor trails off, and keeps eye contact with her brother.
"Taylor." Austin says seriously. "Out of all people, do you really think that it would be you to make a mistake? Or do something wrong?"
"What's happening at home then?" Taylor asks suspiciously.
Austin sighs. "Let's sit down."
Over the last minute or so, Taylor has felt a slight change in the air and can tell that it is going to rain. Possibly even storm.
"Austin..." Taylor says, her eyebrows knitted together in concern. "Are mom and Dad Okay?"
"Yeah... yeah."
Taylor knew the weather was changing, and she knew that she was right once she feels the first droplet of rain fall against her arm.
All at once, the city goes from dry to wet.
People scatter, running under trees and going home.
But Taylor and Austin stay seated. He looks up at the sky, which is a cool grey colour.
"The rain is so different here."
"Austin. Tell me, please. Don't leave me in the dark." Taylor pauses. "A Red has never been able to come to earth before. Why now? Why you?"
"Okay... well it's a long story. Basically they think that Karlie is too difficult for you."
"What?" Taylor says, standing up. She can feel anger simmering away inside her. "They really think that?"
"She's... they feel like you could be putting your skills towards someone who actually wants to change." Austin says.
"No. Austin." Taylor folds her arms and Austin stands up. "They have never given up on someone, ever. And it can't be Karlie."
"Why? Because you like her?" Austin snaps, completely out off by Taylor's response.
"No-"
"There are cameras, Taylor. We can see everything that you do. Us Reds, that's our job while you're down here. And they have given up on people before, Taylor. You were just too young and naive to realise it!"
"I am not giving up on Karlie."
"They're not asking."
"Well you can go back and you can tell them that I am staying here, with Karlie! Just because some people take longer to change doesn't mean that they are a lost cause!" Taylor yells, her wet hair sticking to her face. Her dress has turned a darker shade of blue.
"Taylor-"
"Austin. You are my brother and I know that you think that you know what's best for me. But you don't. Maybe I never realised because you and mom and dad were trying to hide things from me. Did you think I was weak?" Taylor pauses, stepping towards him. "I am a Blue, Austin. I have abilities and I get to do things that you can only dream of. I am not weak. So you can go back and tell her that I am staying here, on earth, with Karlie. Because there is no such thing as a lost cause!"
Taylor has never felt this angry before. She's never even shouted at anyone.
"Being here, with her, it's changed you." Austin snaps and Taylor closes her eyes and sighs.
"Being here with Karlie hasn't changed me, I am still your sister and I am still Taylor. But being here with Karlie has helped me to find myself. Because Austin, up there," Taylor points up at the sky. "Anyone who isn't Pure is trapped. You and mom and dad are trapped."
"We are not."
"Yes, you are. In fact, you aren't even as trapped as a lot of people are. Because you have a Blue in your family. Other people get the crappy jobs and live crappy lives. But here, I can be normal. I can do whatever I want to."
"You will never be normal, Taylor. These people don't have powers, they don't come from another planet."
"Austin, just leave. Just go back. Tell mom and Dad that I love them." Taylor says, her lip trembling and the tear that falls mixes with the rain.
"Sure thing, Taylor. Oh, and I'd be expecting a visit from her soon." He snaps, before he's gone.
Taylor can't help but let the tears slowly cascade down her cheeks.
"I'm sorry." She gently whispers.

Karlie rushes into work, and the elevator ride has never seemed longer.
"Why are you late?" Her personal assistant asks and Karlie sighs.
"I am your boss. I am allowed to be late." She snaps, heading into her office and sitting down at her desk. She sighs, because she was actually enjoying being with Taylor. Because for once she wasn't thinking about answering emails or her next meeting.
"Mr Clarke is here, he isn't very impressed that you're late." Her PA says, and Karlie gets up to walk into the meeting.
"You can lose that tone, Katie. Or you will have to find another job." Karlie warns, and Katie backs right off.
"Yes, I am sorry Miss Kloss."
The meeting goes on just like any other meeting. Me Clarke runs her business in Australia and is here to discuss ideas.

Taylor feels empty. She feels ashamed that she spoke to her brother like that. She feels so horrible that she told him to leave. She feels guilty that she is ignoring what they are telling her. She feels bad that Karlie doesn't know and that she has no one to tell.
She decides that she will try and see Ed.
Softly, whispering words into the breeze, she sends her message to him.
It isn't long before she hears Ed's voice, whirling through the trees.
"Come over now!"
"What about Adam?" Taylor says in reply.
"He's cool with it! Come on!"
Ed gives Taylor the address and she navigates her way there.
She's never met Adam, she's only heard about him when they had to choose the humans they wanted to help.
Taylor feels home around Ed, and she is beyond happy that they ended up in the same city.

Twenty minutes later, Taylor is standing outside Adam's door, and before she knocks, she touches her finger to her dress and it becomes dry. She knocks on the door.
"You must be Taylor." A man opens the door, and Taylor sees a tall man. "I'm Adam. Ed is inside waiting for you."
