Fiona's POV
I heard my alarm clock go off and mentally groan. I hate Mondays. I turn it off and get out of bed. I get dressed for the day in my usual attire. White knee high socks with black leather booties and a white button up blouse with no sleeves, almost like a tank top. I tuck the button up into my red and black plaid skirt. It comes to about mid thigh. I brush my brown hair and leave it wavy. I slip mascara on and glittery peachy eyeshadow. I swipe some lip gloss on and grab my light grey cardigan, seeing as it's 58 degrees outside. I put my phone into my messenger-like bag and make sure all my school books are in there. I do a three sixty in the mirror before exiting my room.
I knock on my brother, Luke's door. "What the hell do you want, Fiona?" He groans. "Morning, sunshine. It's Monday" I say as cheerfully as possible. I hear his bed squeak, meaning he got out of bed. Finally. He opens his door. It doesn't faze me one bit to see him in just boxers and shirtless. Seen it before. See it everyday. "Gonna get up and come to school?" I ask. Luke glares at me and I smile before walking off.
At first glance, no one think we're brother and sister. We look nothing alike. I have wavy, brown locks while he has blond, stick straight hair. I have brown eyes and he has ocean blue. We also act nothing alike. He has a lip piercing and wears practically all black and white. Occasionally he'll pop out a red flannel. I, on the other hand, am a "good girl". Gosh, have I been teased for it.
Luke comes downstairs and I see he's wearing a band tee with black skinny jeans and converse. And he has that trademark black lip ring in. "Lets go" he says. He grabs his keys and we go outside to his car. I rarely drive my car. I have a white Mercedes-Benz while he has the same but in, you guessed it, black.
We don't talk much on the ride to school. Never do. We're close but never feel the need to talk much to each other. pop a piece of minty gum in my mouth. I always chew gum before school. It calms me.
We get to school and Luke stops me before I get out of the car. I already know what he's gonna say. "Sure that outfits nerd enough for ya, Fi?" He chuckles. Knew it. I wait for Luke to exit the car so he can't hear me before muttering, "Bastard".
I walk with him up to his friend, Ashton's car. I'm good friends with his friends. Ashton and Calum greet him before hugging me. "Hey, Fi-Fi" Ash giggles. He always calls me that. Calum laughs and we exchange hellos. Then Mikey exits the car. I swallow a sigh. He grins slightly when he sees me but stops when Luke looks over at him. "Hey, Fiona" he says casually. I nod at him and he starts talking to Luke. "Hey, Fiona, me and Cal were going to the movies after school today. Wanna come?" Ashton asks me. "Sorry. Lotta homework" I lie. He nods and doesn't push further. He knows I like to keep up in school. I'm usually never busy on weekends, so that's when I hang out with them.
We all walk into school together. I see Luke get on his phone and start texting someone. Couple seconds later, my phone buzzes.
Luke: We haven't even started school yet. How do you know your gonna have homework?
Me: It's Monday. Always get homework on Monday
I see Luke roll his eyes and glance at me before putting his phone away. I smile and put mine up too. Suddenly Ashton's jaw stiffens and his face goes still. I notice he's staring at his ex who cheated on him. She's flirting with some other dude. "Ash, let it go. She was a slut to begin with" I whisper to him. He looks down at me and smiles. "Thanks" he says. I smile and look away. "Who's turns it to bodyguard Fi?" Cal asks. The boys started taking turns walking me to around school due to me getting bullied when I'm by myself. Mikey raises his hand and I almost trip.
We say bye to the boys before heading off towards my locker. "So how's life?" He smirks. I chuckle. "Shut up" I say. He laughs softly. We get to my locker and stay silent.
