Seto's pov
when sky finally opens the door, im kinda mad.
He said he wanted to help deadlox, but he just made him stand on his burnt leg encrusted with a label of shame.
Sky walks over to deadlox and picks him up bridal style.
“thanks seto. I couldnt have done it without you.” deadlox calls as he is carried inside.
“no problem.” I mumble.
Experi-jenna, runs up ad hugs me.
“thank you. So so much. I was so worried. I wasn’t sure if he would make it this time.” she whispers to me, still in the hug. Tears of thanks are silently streaming down her face.
So I was correct. He is an experiment.
“its ok. Hes been my friend forever, I wouldnt just let him get hurt. Knowing this information does nothing to me and his friendship.” I smile weakly. It did. But I was going to try not to show it.
Ex-jenna pulls me in tighter. “its just- you know im the first one right? Hes my first ever friend. I didnt want to lose him.” she started crying harder.
“hes fine, so dont cry, ok?”
“yea.”
I drift into thought.
Before I know it we're kissing.
Jenna's pov
this is new. Ive heard of hugging in books but never this.
It felt right.
Like I wasnt a mess-up for a second.
When our faces part, his face is beat red.
“whats wrong?”
“i-uh- that wasnt friendship. It isnt what friends do.”
oh no. hes not my friend. I messed up again!
“its not?”
“no. its what more than friends do.”
“what do more than friends do?”
“well, they love each other” he looks down making his face even more red than before.
“like a family?”
“uhm... no. you have read princess stories right?”
“yea.”
“well, its like cinderella. the prince loved her so much, when cinderella had to leave, he searched his whole kingdom and land he ruled over for her. Or princess and the frog. The princess saw more than his looks of a animal and kissed him and the curse was lifted. What im trying to say is, that they loved each other in a different way. Friends love each other in a other way than more than friends do, and they dont spend their whole lives together. With this kind of love they stick with each other forever, for the rest of their lives. And unlike normal friends, you only love one person like this at a time. Its a very special kind of love.” seto is still looking down.
“that sounds amazing.”
“well, thats what it is and I understand you didnt know what it meant so you dont have to-”
I kiss him again.
“shut up.”
“o-ok.”
