Chapter 1 - The Girl and Boy
------------------------------
It was a hot summer day,
'birds are singing'
'dogs barking'
'people shouting'
'and an ambulance ringing' *turned on its siren*.
In the middle of the road,
Two cold bloody bodies sat on their separate vehicles, around those vehicles were people crying, mourning over their loss. But their despair was only for one person, and it was the boy who died.
But for the girl who died...
Nobody mourned for her.
Nobody cared for her when she was alive, and that can't be blamed.
A girl who was shining bright as the sun, a golden heart, a smart mind, and all the characteristics of an ideal woman.
She out shone everyone and instead of being loved, she was hated because of it.
Even though it was torture for her, she still kept her mask on, besides what else can she lose?
NOTHING!
Now that the girl is dead, she lost the only thing she had besides her mask and that was...
Her LIFE.
Although, she didn't feel sadness nor jealousy on the fact that the boy whom died with her had more people to care about him in one day, than when she was still alive.

And the girl who died... 'It was me, Kattie'... Or atleast I'm a ghost of what I used to be.
I looked around and I saw the devastated faces of the living people around me.
Then I saw the boy who died with me. I was expecting that he would be frustrated, flustered, confused, or mad at me and think that it was my fault... Like all the others did.
But instead, he stood there, facing the people whom I assumed was his parents.
Tears flow constantly from his eyes as if inside his head had an entire ocean and his eyes were a whirlpool that had just opened up.
Nature is probably in sync with him because as minutes flew, the sky went grey and little by little there was a rain and it kept getting stronger.
The people who were mourning and crying are now retreating to their vehicles, with the reddish eyes from weeping.
The ambulance was about to leave, but I've heard that we were near to be declared DOA if they hadn't arrive any sooner.
I saw them taking our bodies, still bleeding but it was less than now.
I walked towards the boy, his eyes covered by his hair.
He was still crying, looking at the ground puddles forming yet no reflection to be found from the both of us.
I attacked him with a gentle hug from behind and ruffling his hair to comfort him. His hair was so soft and silky that even though I kept ruffling his hair it falls back in to its proper place making it neat again.
"It's ok... Everything will going to be fine" I said trying to sooth him. Little by little, I saw his tears lessen, "I hadn't said goodbye to them" he said while trembling.
There was a cold fast wind surrounding us
"Don't worry, we're going to be fine, the doctor said that we have hope of surviving" I said still carsing him. I knew how fragile people can be, "So don't worry, you won't need to say goodbye to them, because it will be too early for you" I said and his shivering stopped.
"Umm"... He flinched as if to signal me that he was already fine. As signaled, I let go of him.
He slowly turned to me, head still down and his hands on his pocket.
When I died, I only looked at my surroundings and never really paid specific attention to the boy whom died with me...
Oh! I forgot, we're not technically dead, only on the verge to but hopefully not dead.
As I looked at him, I noticed that he was taller and paler than me.
I also noticed that I was wearing a plain black dress and he was wearing a grey shirt with a design that looked like a grey phoenix, and I never realized it earlier but if you take a good look at it, it seems like the phoenix is turning into ashes like the stories told about the cycle that phoenix go through.
I snapped myself out of my thoughts, I lend my right hand to him
"Nice to meet you, I'm Kattie"
as I introduced myself with a smile, and I saw him hesitate a bit
"I'm Adam, nice to meet you too"
then he shook my hand flusteredly and awkwardly letting it go.
"So... Why won't we talk about each other?" I said.
