"I don't care, Zack!" Aphmau could hear her mother yell from the other side of the house. "I keep telling you that I don't want to see one more whore in this house!"

"If you didn't want to see whores, then why haven't we given up our damn kid!?" Her dad yelled, even louder.

During their argument, Aphmau was crying her eyes out. She covered herself with her sheets, and tried to make her sobs almost inaudible.

"If you say that again about our daughter, you will be out of this house faster than you can say-"

"You mean YOU'LL be out of this house? You're the one who moved in."

With that, there was silence.

"You live with me. I can say whatever I want, and you'll agree with me. If not, then you and that slut will be living on the streets!"

With that, two pairs of footsteps could be heard followed by a door closing. Aphmau quietly got up, and walked to her closet and grabbed two bags. One was for school and one with an emergency set of clothes, toothbrush and toothpaste, and a hairbrush.

She put on her shoes, and put the bag on her back. She took out a pencil and wrote on a piece of paper.

'Staying with the Ro'meaves for the night. Be back after school tomorrow.'

She slid that under her parent's door, and she climbed out of her window. After walking over a few bushes, Aphmau reached her neighbor's house. She knocked on her friend Garroth's window, waiting for him to wake up and open the window.

After a few tries, Garroth woke up. He tiredly walked to the window to open it. "Why are you here?" He asked. "It's the middle of the night."

"I know, I just needed a place to stay tonight." Aphmau said, and from the way she said it woke Garroth up. He looked at his friend, and hugged her.

"What did he do now?"

"He called me a whore."

Garroth glared at Aphmau's house through the bushes, and let her go. "Well, since no one else knows your here, we're going to need to share a bed."

"That's fine. Just no funny business." Aphmau said, wiping her eyes of tears.

They both laid on the bed, Garroth slightly hugging her, and Aphmau sniffled.

"Why don't you just leave?"

"Because Mom and I don't have anywhere to go."

"You could stay with us."

"Garroth, you know my mother is to stubborn for that."

Garroth fell silent after that, and looked around. He decided to change the subject. "Well, prom is coming up. From what I hear, you're pretty much prom queen already."

"Yeah, I'm pretty excited."

"Are you going to get a date?"

"Once someone wins my heart, yeah."

Garroth smiled, "Well, goodnight, My queen."

Aphmau chuckled, "Goodnight Garroth."
