My feet pounded against the stony ground as I ran through the night, clutching the only thing I had left of her. The woman who held me together like cement all these years was gone. The only thing I had left of her, the beautiful, shiny violin that she gave me on my fifteenth birthday.

I came to a stop by a nearby tree, looking around for my predator, who could probably still be loose, lurking though the airy night. The coast was clear but I couldn't care less. I dropped down to an Indian style sitting position and I looked down at my clothes. I was still wearing my clothes from school today. A navy blue t-shirt under a black hooded jacket, dark blue skinny jeans and blue and black converse shoes. Otherwise, a dark outfit.

I held  the silk-cloth wrapped violin up to my face, aimlessly observing the soft fabric as I slowly unwrapped the valued treasure. To every one else, it was a worthless piece of rubbish. But to me, it was the most important thing in the world. It's intricate designs patterned around it's bridge and the scroll and tuning pegs were sculpted beautifully. No matter how hard I tried, I could never find a flaw in this majestic instrument.

I was lost in my own world as I absent-mindedly welcomed the dark spots that started to dot my vision, as my body drifted off to a dreamless sleep. Clutching in my hands the only thing which could save me, my family, probably the entire world. the world spun as I drifted to sleep. I had'nt a care in the world. In my position, who would?
