Curses were being thrown every which way and you were desperately trying to find Fred. You kept calling his name, yelling until you could yell no more. Throat hoarse, you were thankful you knew how to cast spells without speaking. Giving up on yelling, you opted to run around and find him.

As you did that, you threw stunning and disarming spells at every hooded figure you saw. Soon, you ran into Fred. Quite literally too.

"Oh thank God," you said before you kissed him. He kissed back but soon broke away to fire a jinx at a Death Eater.

"Harry, Ron, and Hermione followed Malfoy to the Room of Requirement. I'm heading up to help there if needed," he said. You nodded.

"I'll go with you then."

"No," Fred said. "I need you to find George and then go."

"Alright. Do you know where he is?" Before he could answer, you pushed him aside.

"Confringo!" You yelled. The Death Eaters robes burst into flames and while they were trying to get rid of it, you stupefied them. Fred put out the fire and put ropes over them.

"He was in the Great Hall last I saw," Fred said. "Find him then find me."

He kissed you then ran off to the seventh floor. You headed to the staircase that would take you to the first floor. When you got there, you looked for red hair. A blur caught your eye and you ran towards it.

"Weasley!" You yelled. George turned around and grinned at you.

"Hey [y/n]! I've been looking for you," he said. "Fred sent me."

"Fred sent me to look for you." You two went back-to-back. "Why would he do that?"

"Because he doesn't want us to be there," George said as he grabbed your hand. "Come on!"

The two of you ran up the stairs, hexing and jinxing your way to the seventh floor. Half way there, your vision turned from vibrant colors to black and white. It happened so abruptly that you fell to the floor. Tears started to form and soon you were sobbing into the staircase.

"What's wrong [y/n]? Come one, we need to get going!" George said.

"My-my vision went back. Fred is—" You couldn't finish the sentence and burst back into tears. George couldn't believe it.

"You're joking right? You've got to be." His voice was shaking.

"Come on. Let's go and you'll see that Freddie is okay. Maybe he just got stunned," he said. You nodded, wanting to believe him so badly. You two went up to the seventh floor without any trouble to find a giant hole in the wall. Both of you were calling Fred's name when Voldemort started to speak.

"You have fought valiantly. Lord Voldemort knows how to value bravery," he said.

"My ass," George muttered.

"Yet you have sustained heavy losses. If you continue to resist me, you will all die, one by one. I do not wish this to happen. Every drop of magical blood spilled is a loss and a waste.

"Lord Voldemort is merciful. I command my forces to retreat immediately. You have one hour. Dispose of your dead with dignity. Treat your injured.

"I speak now, Harry Potter, directly to you. You have permitted your friends to die for you rather than face me yourself. I shall wait for one hour in the Forbidden Forest. If, at the end of that hour, you have not come to me, have not given yourself up, then battle recommences. This time, I shall enter the fray myself, Harry Potter, and I shall find you, and I shall punish every last man, woman, and child who has tried to conceal you from me. One hour."

You and George stood there in shock. Knowing Harry, he was going to go there and let himself die.

"Don't do it Harry," you whispered. "Please don't"

"[Y/n]," George said. "I've found Fred."

"No." He fell to his knees and you clumsily ran over to him. The two of you cried over him until you felt a hand on your shoulder. Looking up, you saw the tearstained face of Percy.

"Let's get him to the Great Hall," Percy said. His voice broke and you nodded. George helped you up and the three of you picked Fred up off the ground. It may have been easier to use a levitating spell, but that didn't seem right. So you carried him all the way to the Great Hall.

When you three walked in, Molly spotted you instantly. At first her face had relief on it. Then it changed to confusion, then fear, and lastly heartbreak. She broke down and fell to the floor, as the rest of the family stood there in shock. Two helpers came and took Fred from you to put in the too long line of people. You walked over to Molly and embraced her, crying as well.

"No!" You whispered. "Harry can't be dead!"

You grabbed Ginny's hand, not really hearing Voldemort talking. It all went by in a blur. Harry was somehow alive, the fighting resumed, and soon Voldemort was dead.

About a week after the battle of Hogwarts, a funeral was being held for Fred. While you were giving your speech, you broke down and weren't able to finish. George took your place.

Nine months later you gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. George wanted to name her Fred, but you said no. Fred had always liked the name Melody and you had promised him that if you had a girl together you would name her that.

Nineteen years later, you were sending Melody to Hogwarts for her last year there.

"Your father would be immensely proud of you," you said to her. She smiled softly and hugged you tightly.

"I know," Melody said. "I know."

"Tell him I'm visiting for Christmas. And that I love him."

"I will. I love you." You hugged her once more before she got on the train. You waved until you could see her no more.

"So proud," you whispered to the gray scene before you.
