The End of the Beginning

Keep in mind I have nothing against Jacobs parents or any characters in the story. I just think it'd be an interesting storyline. Anyways, enjoy :)

Jacob. A 14 year old kid. The casual move. His parents getting a promotion in a different state. Causing them to move to the destination. And of course, resulting the children to be upset. But Jacobs case was different... surprisingly.
- Jacob
My dad got a job offer in Philadelphia. My mom got a promotion in Texas. If you can't already tell, they're getting divorced to go they're own ways. Not just because of the jobs but I guess the magic between just fizzled. It's pretty sad and upsetting if you think about it. But, As I will have to choose which parent to live with. Tough. My older sister, Caroline, is in college. So she really doesn't have a say in any of this. Which kinda sucks actually. Unlike other siblings, we get along.
- Patty
My son Jacob will obviously go with me. I always give him what he wants. I take him where he always wants to go. It's always about him 100% of the time. His father, always focused on work. Never has time for either of us. Always on the phone. Never family. As to why the divorce is happening.
- Jacobs dad (idk his name)
Patty never pays attention to Jacob. I'm always the one taking him places and doing things with him. Having father-son bonds. 100%. I give him my full effort. Patty is just ignorant and irrelevant. Never pays attention to anything and anyone. Hence the divorce. I don't really know who Jacob will pick. I'm not pressuring him to live with me, but I feel he'd be more comfortable with me. As he also has friends and family in Texas. Either way, I'll still love him with all of my heart. No doubt at all.
- Jacob
I'm going with my mom. I have too many close people to leave in Texas. I don't think I'd be able to leave them, period.

P- So honey, Jacob, Snooky, cutie... who will you be picking to live with? Me or -- you're dad?
J- you.
P- I'll give you some time to think ov-- wait what ?
J- you (towards patty). Not because I love either of y'all differently. I just have friends in Texas I'd rather not leave. Like Ariel, or Blake. Hunter, Joey, Charles. Luna, Lexi. Endless.
P- yeah. No i get it. Still me though.
Jacobs dad- well son, I hope Texas treats ya right. We have court Friday so be prepared. I'll have you every other month. I think is what your mom and I agreed.
P- yeah. So you can go. (Towards Jacobs dad.)
Jacobs dad- I still live here you know. I can't leave right now. Plus you leave tomorrow. I have the realtor coming later to sell the house.
- Jacobs dad
In Philadelphia I'll have a two bedroom condo, two bathroom, one kitchen (the essentials.)
So I'm pretty much free and off the hook. No wives, no kids (well, except every other months)
Life's pretty swell at the moment.
- patty
My life is pretty swell at the moment. No ugly, rude, insulting husbands. Free room in the new house. Pretty great.
- Jacob
I'm pretty excited to start over. You know, new place... new reputation. I'd rather not speak of my old name. "Name" as in rep. Last year in Virginia was the worst of my life. I wanna restart. Especially having supportive friends around me. You know? Yeah. I guess you could call it " The End of The Beginning".

1st chapter. Done. Check. I hope it's good. It's kinda short but the next one will be a lot longer. Xxx
