A New Addition

Once they arrived at the hospital a nurse got Doctor Whale and took them to a room. The room was all white, a hospital bed in the middle of it, against the wall. There were a few posters about babies and pregnant women, nothing interesting though.

Belle squeezed Rumple's hand as the nurse helped her onto the bed. "It hurts..." She said and looked at him. "I know, Belle. It'll be over soon, I promise." He replied with a small smile.

Doctor Whale walked into the room, giving the nurse a 'you can go now' look. As the nurse walked out Rumple looked up at him "She'll be okay, right?", the dark one didn't seem so dark anymore, he seemed...worried.

Whale nodded "She should be fine." He looked down at Belle "How do you feel?" He asked.

She looked up at him, breathing heavily "I feel horrible." She said with a frown, wondering why he asked her the question when the answer was obvious.

Whale nodded and turned towards the door "I'll be back in a few hours, let me know if anything changes."

"Thank you, Doctor Whale." Rumple said and nodded.

He walked out and the door shut loudly, making Belle jump a little. Her husband stroked her cheek and smiled "We're going to have a baby..." He said.

Belle laughed a little as she nodded "Yes, Rumple. We're going to have a baby."

"You're going to be a wonderful mother." He continued stroking her cheek, staring into her eyes.

"And you're going to be an amazing father, you won't fail this one, Rumple." She tangled her fingers in his hair, trying not to think about the pain.

Rumple smiled and put his hand on her stomach, gently, knowing she was in great pain.

He kissed her head and smiled "I love you, Belle."

"I love you too." Belle replied and groaned slightly as the pain kept getting worse.

"Shhhh," he said, as she squeezed his hand "it's okay."

She let out a deep breath and nodded. She was ready, she had to do this. For Rumple. All he ever wanted was a family, now she had to show him she could give him that.
