I'm in a back alley.

I can't let them find me.

I ran away from the base because I couldn't handle it. If they find me they'll take me back and kill me.

I need to find a place and lay low, but where?

Where where where?

Well, what about Edd? I haven't seen him since I joined the army, hopefully he can help me.

I look up from my small note book.

I'm writing it in the case if die before I tell everyone the secrets of that wretched place.

I grab my outdated phone and scroll through my contacts and end up at 'best cousin Edd.'

I click on it and choose the little phone icon and bring it to my ear, listening to the rings as well as the noises on the streets.

After the 3rd ring I hear a 'hello' ring through ear, alerting me.

"Hey Edd! It's (Y/n), you know, your 'best cousin." I say in a joking maner.

I hear Edds smooth English accent through the phone as he spoke.

"Hey (Y/N)! What's up? I haven't seen or heard from you in like, 2 years!"

"Sorry cuz, I was kinda busy in those 2 years.. sorry if I worried you. What have you been up to?"

Gotta act like nothing happened and then ease it in.

"Oh nothing much, when you were over for the night the last time you were here we had an old buddy leave, he wasn't there when you were here but I guess I just wanted to tell you?"

I stifled a giggle and continued.

"It's ok, haha, I was actually going to ask, do you still have a spare room? I kinda need a place to sta-"

"Say no more! I will get a room ready for you, but a few questions first, when are you coming down and for how long?"

He didn't ask why, thank goodness.

"Well, I'll get a ticket to England, so maybe 2 days? And I'll be staying for a while, if that's ok with you."

"Yeah yeah! That's all ok! Well I'll see you in 2 days then!"

"Yep! See you then." And at that he hung up.

I put my phone down and looked up. The starry night sky.

I sigh, and then close my eyes and turn my head to the ground.

"I'll never get there..." I mumble to myself, referring to the stars and the moon.

I grab my bag, put it on my back and begin to walk out of the alley, hood up.

'I can't risk it'

I start to walk towards a small dairy, and walk in, a small 'ding' from the bell indicating someone entered the building.

I walk over to an aisle and grabbed some necessities, water, pain killers, sleep tablets, bread, and anything that could fit in my backpack.

I dump all of that in a shopping trolley and walk to a counter to pay, it's a good thing I got some money saved and I stole up when I left.

'That place won't be missed'
