ELEMENT OF SURPRISE
"SAM'S LOST THE ELEMENT of surprise, and he doesn't want to take you on outnumbered." Jacob explained to the Cullen's, warning them about Sam's plans which Leah told him about. "So... he's not gonna come at you head on." He added. Nova played with her fingers, licking her lips and staring down at the floor. Why is this happening? Why did Bella have to get preg-nant? The worst of all she won't even be a mother for her own child. "He's got the place surrounded and he'll wait for his opportunity."
She can't even think about any of the Cullen's getting hurt or killed. "We won't get through without a fight." Emmett said. "No," Nova said, frowning.
"No fights." Carlisle agreed with Nova. "They won't be able to break the treaty." "The treaty is void. At least in Sam's mind." "Not in ours."
Esme added.
"Carlisle, no ones hunted for weeks." Emmett said, stepping toward him. "I wish I can do something," Nova groaned, running a hand through her hair. "You are doing something, Nova. You're staying in this house and keeping yourself safe." Esme said.
"I mean for you guys, this is insane." "We'll make do, Nova." Esme sent a small smile to her. "You've done us a great service, Jacob. Thank you." Carlisle said, giving Jacob a nod.
Nova sighed, thinking of what she could do to help. So far, she had no luck.

Nova was laying down on a spare bed in one of the bedrooms. Bella was sleeping on the couch downstairs, and the rest of the Cullen's were taking watch. Nova couldn't take it anymore.
She needed to see Seth. She got up and headed downstairs, slowly making her way to the front door. She twisted it open and bit her lip, and she walked down the steps from the porch. The pack wouldn't hurt her, would they?
Shaking that thought out of her head, she heard footsteps catching up to her. Seth felt the connection instantly and headed straight towards her. In the dark she could make out the figure, but not the face of the person standing there.
"Nova, what are you doing out here?" Seth asked his imprint. Seth turned his head and heard the wolves growling. "It's not safe. Go back inside." "Seth..." Nova walked over to him, grabbing his hand. "Be safe, please." She looked behind them and didn't see Leah or Jacob. Seth sighed and grabbed her elbow.
"Seth, let go!" Seth brought her back up, opening the door. "Stay inside, Nova. It isn't safe." Nova moved her head towards Seth's, she smashed her lips on his and felt his arms finding her waist. Pulling away, she didn't say anything else. Seth took off and changed back in his wolf from, feeling the energy of the kiss that Nova gave him. Nova listened to Seth and headed back to the living room.
Edward was on the computer and she went to go sit on another couch near Bella who was sleeping. Nova looked at her sleeping cousin.
Tears filled her eyes. She needed to think of the things that she's going to tell Charlie what happened to his daughter. She needed a plan, but what she needed more was sleep.
Nova has gotten none since she's been staying at the Cullen's. Even thinking about sleep made her tired. Her eyes drifted, she curled up in a ball on the couch. For the rest of the night she rested on the couch and finally found herself drifting off to sleep, only to have been having nightmares. But they weren't nightmares, it was real, and the nightmares were just the beginning.
