Niall was sitting on the couch, looking at the boys as they all whispered to each other.
He was told not to move and really, if it weren't for all the bizarre things around him then he wouldn't have the urge to. He tried to focus on what the humans were saying but his focus kept moving away, towards the pictures on the wall, or the tv that was still on, or the very weird machine in the corner. It was all so distracting, why did humans need all these things?
Eventually the boys came back over to him, now more calm. Harry had explained everything from what Niall said to his plan on learning more about him. Liam seemed very excited after learning his memories were actually safe.
Liam had always loved learning about all the creatures in the world, he knew everything about every monster out there. But Angels were something none of them had ever actually seen. Sure they heard stories but that was nothing to the real thing, besides all the tales were different. No one knew what angels were really capable of.
Hell, Harry was the only one who didn't know about angels at all until just yesterday. It was near to impossible to meet someone who had actually seen an angel.
"So...Niall?" Liam sat down next to Niall, trying to hide his excitement as Niall looked at him.
But before Liam could say anything else Niall got up, walking over to the weird machine. "What's this?" He asked, running his hands over it.
"Uh, that's a treadmill." Harry answered when no one else did. Niall raised an eyebrow. What the heck was a treadmill?
"What does it do?" Niall asked in fascination, pressing one of the buttons, making it turn on suddenly.
"It's what we use when we take a monster home to torture it. If you get on it, it will chop you up." Louis answered, crossing his arms. He still wasn't too keen on letting the angel stay.
Niall's eyes widened as he took a step back. He looked between the hunters and the treadmill. He didn't know these humans were so...sadistic.
"Louis, stop. He's just kidding." Harry assured but Niall still kept his distance from the machine.
"It's getting late and we definitely aren't leaving you alone. You'll be sleeping on the couch and one of us will watch you at all times, got it? One wrong move and you're gone." Louis said harshly. He would do whatever it took to keep his friends safe.
"Why not the guest room?" Liam wondered but Louis only sent him a glare.
"Sleep? On that?" Niall asked, pointing to the couch to clarify that, that is what he was talking about. Louis nodded and Niall bit his lip. "What's sleep?"
All the boys eyes widened. "You don't sleep?" Zayn asked incredulously. Niall shook his head.
"What's that? Is it a human thing?" Niall wondered.
"Oh Jesus, this is going to be a long night." Louis muttered to himself. Niall perked up slightly.
"You know him too? Is he going to visit?" Niall asked excitedly. The boys all looked at him in confusion, that was the most emotion he had showed since they met him.
Niall stopped suddenly at their stares. He frowned at himself, what was this? He felt very weird. He felt something for once.
"Right...well, Harry you're taking first watch because this whole thing is your fault." Louis said, yawning.
"What? How is it my fault? I didn't-" Harry started complaining but Louis cut him off.
"You're the one who brought him home." With that, the three boys all left to their own rooms, leaving Harry alone with Niall again.
"Okay, well what do you do if you don't sleep?" Harry asked curiously, trying to change the subject.
"Whatever I want." Niall muttered, shrugging. He decided he wouldn't tell Harry that he watched them instead of 'sleeping'. He didn't want, or need any more angry or yelling humans.
