The night once again drew in and as I read the book that Athena gave –in which was Italian; I couldn't help but feel tired, despite the bad feeling in my gut...I sighed and placed the book down and grabbed Bianca's picture. "I love you sis." I whispered before I placed it back and closed my eyes.
Dreaming of fire...
I awoke the smell of fire, and so as I shot up I hoped it was still a dream but as the flame burnt my hand I knew it wasn't.
I grabbed everything and ran to the door, but it to burst up in flames. I ran to the window and threw everything out of the window before I tried to escape but like the door it lit up. I checked for hell hounds but they were all out, in safety...
I panicked not knowing what to do and I tried to shadow travel out, until I remembered Apollo placed a temporary curse on me to prevent me in doing so.
I heard people screaming outside and as the flames jumped up, I screamed as they danced way to close to me. A kick sounded at my door but it stopped as Chiron shouted at Leo. "please one of the gods help me...." I prayed before the fire ate at my skin and I screamed once more. Eventually though it became difficult to breathe and I kept on coughing. Praying for oxygen.
But in a blurry haze I collapsed and in the smoke filled haze I saw Poseidon flash in. But after that the rest was blur, all I remember was the feeling of arms wrap around and then I felt as though I was being squeezed to death before I found myself on grass watching my cabin burned to a crisp. Tears slipped down my face, and slowly I coughed up black. "Bianca." I whispered but Poseidon smiled weakly and held the picture out. I grabbed it and placed it to my chest as the tears came down faster. My chest hurt and it was hard to breathe, and I nearly lost everything.
My hell hounds ran to me including Mrs O'Leary and I smiled.
"Thank the gods your safe." they licked my face and, Zeus flashed down with the others. Lady Athena ran forwards and lifted me up as Apollo went to heal the burns. I hissed before he traced over one causing me to scream. "That ones going to scar." I frowned and searched for my dad as a distraction but I couldn't see him...
"Nico!" my dad shouted a good two minutes later. I ignored Apollo's protest and ran to him. He wrapped me in a hug and I cried his shoulder, before I looked at my cabin to see what I knew was true. "Dad." I pointed to the sky...
"Death should be feared."
My dad placed me down. "Right, Nico listen to me, I need to leave for a few days so if there is any problems, I want you to contact my brothers." I nodded and he kissed my forehead. "Stay safe." I spoke. He nodded and flashed away...
My cabin was now put out but I had nowhere to sleep. I sat on the ground before Mrs O'Leary sat besides me and I curled up besides her. The other hell hounds followed suit and Percy sighed. "Sleep in my cabin we have tons of beds." I shook my head no and closed my eyes. "I'm good." Percy shooed the hell hounds away,but they growled. "I'm not asking for your permission." he spoke stroking Mrs O'Leary. I sighed and stood up, grabbing my stuff, him following suit.
When I placed them down, I bit my lip, nervous that Percy could lose everything as well. Thalia ran in followed by the hunters but she hugged me. "Oh my gods Nico...!" I hugged her closing my eyes. "You need to be careful. Promise me." she nodded and I felt tears splatter onto my bare skin. "Hey its okay, I'm okay."
She looked at me as the gods came in. The hell hounds growled but I shh'd them, but as I did, one of the puppies came in. He whimpered and I picked him up. "Come on let's see to that." he yipped and I grabbed tissues. "You we're hiding weren't you?" he whined and I heard giggling from the younger hunters. I ran to one of them. "Oh hell no, you don't want to hurt her so go, come on." she licked my hand and I went back to the puppy. When done Apollo continued to heal me before, I hugged Thalia and bid her good night.
Percy hugged her and said he will watch over me. I rolled my eyes before I closed my eyes to darkness...
