Chapter 1 Jake

The world is a scary place for most people, not everyone can see the light that shines on a brighter future. For some human's darkness consumes their life and future. Jake Sears Is a tall kid towering at about 6'2. He is light skinned with long flowing hair; it is unknown if he is African American or Native American but he never really thought about it. He has a chiseled jaw line and strong muscular features; he is a perfect human specimen. He hates nearly everyone in his school because no one has ever truly loved him. He has a girlfriend but she is only with him because he provides for her and puts her in the spotlight. He is captain of the football team and the basketball team and he has taken both teams to championships since he was a freshman. Jenifer is Jake's girlfriend, she a generic teenager who worries about how she looks and how people see her rather than her future. She is 5'7 with long wavy hair, her skin is slightly lighter than Jake and she is Dominican. She is one of the most beautiful girls at school and everyone knows it. She is the captain of the cheerleading team and Jake wears her like armor. Jake could carless about her, she does not have anything to offer him, all she talks about is how she loves shopping and getting her nails done. Jake was adopted by a wealthy family. Jake did not have a strong relationship with the sears family but they had taught him at an early age that failure is not an option. His mother Alana Sears did not want to have any children because it would take her away from her career for far too long. His father Michael Sears needed a boy to take over his company after he was gone. Jake was five years old at the time and he was young enough to be brainwashed, and old enough that the sears wouldn't have to waste too much time taking care of him. Jake learned that he needed friends so he wouldn't be a loser but he did not have to be attached to anyone. Except for Layfon Holiday, Layfon and Jake were the same age their birthdays were only a month apart and they were taken to the orphanage on the same day. They grew up together and they both were adopted at the age of five. Jake was adopted by the wealthy sears family, while Layfon was adopted by the holiday family they were not rich but they loved him.

Jake could have been in a private school but his father wanted him to learn how to crush the weaklings below him. Since he was a child he had flawless grades but he had to work very hard. He was a chubby kid and he was bullied because of it. He learned that he needed power as well as strength if he was going to be perfect. So, he began training, pushups, sit-ups anything he could do to get the body he desired. By the time, he reached middle school chubby Jake was a thing of the past and he began to play football in order to make friends and of course to control all the shallow women who wanted him for his body and not his mind. He spent most of his time reading manga while not in school because, American cartoons gave no lessons only mindless humor. He had to read it in the comfort of his own home because if anyone found out they would laugh. The only one who he could talk to was Layfon. Before Jake went to class, he ate breakfast with his girlfriend and Layfon like he did every day. Jake was arguing with Layfon about which was better out of code geass and death note. Jake said that Light was way better than Lelouche because he destroyed everyone in his path and used his power to force people to think the way he does. Layfon thinks that sacrificing yourself to create a better future is far better than just forcing the world to submit to your will. Jake laughed because he believed the world is weak and they would never know their place. Jenifer interrupted him with a slow moan. Jake looked over with disgust, is there a problem babe? Jenifer just rolled her eyes and said could we be alone today. Jake looked at her and kissed her, how many times have we gone out this week alone, you can either sit here and listen or you can go away I'm going to let you decide. Jenifer just sits and pouts and Jake looks at Layfon and said see humans are weak they don't know what they want. Layfon laughed this is one example you cannot group every human together so easily. Jake looked at him seriously humans are pitiful and you know it. Layfon looks and says maybe but everyone can be saved, even you he laughed. Before Jake could say anything, the bell rang and he told Layfon I will see later bro. He grabbed Jennifer's hand and kissed it, let's go babe he said. Jennifer looked as if she saw an angel, she could never be mad at Jake because she thought he was perfection. Jake walked her to class and kissed her in front of the door and he whispered you mean more to me than you realize. Jenifer couldn't even think for the rest of the class, her friends all made the squeaky sound girls made when they are excited and it all went according to Jake's plan. As long as he treats her like a princess she will never leave him and he would have one less thing to worry about.

He walked to calculus very slowly, he was a senior and he was number 1 in the school and he would stay number 1 even if he failed all of his classes so he was not very enthusiastic. He walked in and Jason the number 2 in the school looked at him with envy and Jake smiled. Jason was a scrawny kid with glasses your typical nerd and he did not understand how Jake could be so smart and play football and basketball. Jason thought that all jocks were idiots and all of them were except Jake. There was a pop quiz that day and Mr. Jackson gave out the test and looked at Jake I know this will be easy for you but try to put some effort into it. Jake looked at him and smiled no promises Mr. Jackson. When Jake got the test he was amazed at what teachers considered work these days. He finished the test in five minutes and gave it to the teacher. Mr. Jackson looked at Jake seriously and said that was thirty questions are you sure you're done. Check the answers if you want Jake said. Mr. Jackson looked at the answer key and each was done perfectly. Mr. Jackson said you can leave I guess. Jake looked at his watch and it was only 8:20 AM. So he decided to sleep in the clinic. Nurse Dino always let him in whenever he wanted because he was so polite and Jake had saved her from being robbed a month ago. A purse snatcher grabbed her bag and ran away, Jake saw it happen, and chased him down and knocked him out with no effort. Nurse Dino had never been so happy in her life. Jake woke up at 1:00 PM he had skipped a ton of classes but he was just in time for Gym the only class he an Layfon shared. Jake walked towards the Gym and his third period teacher saw him. Where were you Jake? Jake looked at Ms. Johnson and said I was sleeping. She laughed I swear you sleep more than anyone I know. Ms. Johnson said well we didn't really do much and you already turned in your essay so you should be fine. Jake smiled and said I know. Jake continued to the Gym, and he saw Layfon are you ready to lose again? Jake said, Layfon looked over maybe I will break a sweat this time.
