"What do you mean 'He will kill you' who is he?"
Liam asks he sounds angry. Leni buries her face into pillow.
"Leni look at me." She shakes her head.
"If you can't speak write." Liam tosses her notebook onto the hospital bed.
Leni looks at him then she returns to staring at her wall she would not tell him.
After five minutes of silence, Liam groans giving up. Leni writes: I'm sorry. Liam hugs her and for the first time in a long time. Leni cries. She falls asleep. Liam puts the blanket on her and walks out to the waiting room where Tommy is sleeping. Liam kicks his shoe.
"Sorry bro she doesn't want to see you." He leaves out the fact that he forgot to ask her.
He remembered that Alayna said Leni freaked out when she mentioned Tommy wanting to visit. Tommy groans.
"What happened?"
Liam throws his hands up in the air.
"How the heck am I supposed to know she won't tell us!"
Tommy lowers his head to his hands.
"You going to be able to drive yourself home?" Liam asks him.
"Yeah I'll be fine." Liam leaves the hospital.
Tommy sits there for a few hours still waiting for a nurse to come and tell him Leni has asked for him but after a while Leni's nurse tells him to go home. When he gets out to his car he hits his steering wheel in frustration then cries.
Leni is woken up from a nightmare her monitors went crazy and her nurse came and woke her up. She gets up and goes to the window she sees Tommy hitting his steering wheel then resting his head against it she stares at him. Tears stream down her face.
I guess once you start crying it's hard to stop.
She wipes her eyes roughly. She couldn't face Tommy. Not after everything.
