Fairy Tail; The Sequel

Prologue

Erza's desperate voice rang through their deafened ears. "Go! Hurry! Get back to master!" Her sword clashed against his, the light of the full moon reflecting onto the two blades.

"No! We can't leave you here!" Lucy's eyes held tears, but her voice held confidence.

For a split second, the faithful mage turned to the celestial mage and smiled. "Did you forget? I'm a Fairy Tail wizard." The man kicked the scarlet-haired beauty to the ground. "Go! Please!" Tears lined her usually confident eyes.

Natsu grabbed Lucy's shaking wrist, his salmon hair falling forward to shadow his eyes. "Let's go, Lucy."

The blonde shook her head defiantly. "No! I'm not leaving her!"

Natsu jerked his head up. "Please! Lucy!" He screamed, his onyx eyes reflecting the tears held within his eyes.

Gray grabbed her free hand. "All we can do is believe in her," he muttered as they began to run through the night. Tears fell to the ground as Erza stood back up and kicked her opponent in his stomach.

"It's over, Scarlet." He smirked, his long dark brown hair fell over his shoulders. "Don't make it harder on yourself."

Erza shook her head, stepping back. "You just don't understand, do you?" She requipped into her strongest armor, Clear Heart Armor. "I'm not going to stop fighting." Her katana raised over her shoulder. "Because my friends-" She ran at Scar, her sword ready to pierce him. "-are counting on me to stay alive!"

"You poor Fairy." Chuckled the large man as he grabbed the blade of her sword, crushing it into a million pieces. "Even if you wanted to live, you could never stand against the power of a wizard like me." He stretched his arms out, his palms facing Erza. He jumped into the sky, shadowing the brilliant moon, as a green light surrounded him. "The Destroying Light of the Moon!" He screamed summoning a bright white light laced with darkness. The blade of light rushed at the defenseless mage on the ground.

The light started to burn her eyes when she realized that someone was chanting a spell right in front of her. His dirty blue hair was brightened with the light of the spell about to hit them. "Heavenly Body Magic; The Stars Protection!" A large shield, glowing like a star, appeared in front of Jellal's outstretched arms. The shield embraced them, protecting them from the damage of Scar's spell.

"What?" Exclaimed the intimidating man. "How- How is that possible?" He screamed in an outrage.

"We've got to catch up with Natsu." Jellal's weak voice reached Erza's racing mind.

"But how? This man... he's very powerful. I can't get past him and you've used too much magic power." She reasoned, unable to find a way out of this situation.

"Then I'll hold him off. You go." Jellal turned and gave Erza a small smile. "You can come back for me after you're healed and have help."

Erza's eyes widened in disbelief. "You want me to leave you... again?" She said, slightly louder than before. "I can't do that." She put her hands on his tired shoulders.

"You know the whole guild will be in trouble if he get's his hands on anyone from Fairy Tail! You have to go, Erza!" Jellal tried to raise his voice, but he could only whisper.

Erza nodded with a defeated look in her eyes. "Stay alive." She whispered as she requipped into her Flight Armor. Jellal's shield finally wore off, giving Erza a way to leave.

"Get back here!" Screamed Scar as he started to run towards Erza, unable to reach her as Jellal blocked him.

"You aren't getting to her, not without getting through me."
