Flashback:
As Emma stabbed Malcom in the heart, he let out a strong necromantic force. In his home Jem Carstairs slid soundlessly to the floor, clutching his parabatai rune. Tessa pulled back his shirt and saw that the rune was no longer faded. Instead it was black and full again. Just then Will Herondale appeared in the doorway, dressed in an outfit of a bygone era. He too slumped to the floor next to his sworn brother and they reached out for each other in their sleep. Tessa fumbled to get her phone out of her pocket. Taking a picture she swiftly sent it to Magnus. What should Jem and I do now? She wondered. She sat on the couch and waited for her boys to wake up.
