Y/Ns' pov

When I arrived home it was quite dark outside, but I still hoped that Mila and Tomiko were still awake. Half of me knew that they were most likely awake, but the other half knew that with my luck they wouldn't be. With the front door closed behind me I put my keys on the hook and took my shoes off by the door. When I bent back up from taking my shoes off Mila and Tomiko suddenly appeared right in front of me.

"Where have you been?" Mila asked worried.

"Yeah, we asked Daria where you went and she told us to wait until you got home so you could tell us. So spill it...what has been going on lately." Tomiko said with one hand on her hip.

"Okay chill out I was planning on telling you guys tonight or tomorrow morning anyways." I said walking past them and sitting on the couch and sighing from the eventful day.

"What made you finally get out of bed and do something?" Mila asked crossing her arms as she stood in front of me.

"Well you know the party that we went to last week?" I said which they nodded to.

"While I was there I met my mate." I said looking at the tv. I heard a gasp from one of them as the other clapped and squealed in delight.

"Oh my gosh you did?!" I heard Tomiko ask excitedly.

"Yes, and before you say anything about my mate being a him, I want you to know that it's a she." I looked between the two as silence took over, but it didn't faze Tomiko as she still had a big smile on her face.

"Yay! I'm so happy you found your mate!" She gave me a quick hug and sat down next to me. I saw that she didn't give a shit about the gender and was genuinely excited and happy for me, which I want. But Mila was still letting the information sink in as she stared at me.

"Wait, so you're telling me your mate is a girl?" She asked bewildered and rubbing her forehead.

"Yes, that is exactly what I'm saying." I said nodding. She nodded letting me know that she understood and stood there for a moment thinking about the whole thing.

"Why did it take you so long to tell us?!" She looked at me with worried eyes.

"I don't know, I guess I was kinda scared to tell you guys. I know you are my best friends and we tell each other a lot about our lives. But this was different and more difficult to get the courage to share." I said looking at Mila who had cooled off from getting the new information and going to sit by me.

"You know you can tell us anything. And I mean absolutely anything. No matter what, we will support you and we won't care who your mate is as long as you love each other." She smiled and hugged me as I returned the hug. But the hug was cut short by Tomiko.

"So does this mean you're a lesbian?" She asked while her eyes remained on the tv. Mila and I looked at each other weirdly but actually thought about the question and our faces changes to a curious expression.

"She has a good point." Mila said looking at me.

"I don't like girls, I like guys." I said bluntly.

"But your mate is a-" Tomiko was saying but I cut her off.

"Yeah I know that, but I'm only a lesbian for one girl, and that's my mate." I confessed to them. Mila smiled while looking at me. I could tell by the look on her face she was surprised, because I never say anything lovey dovey like that.
