#17 The Ideal Date

I walk into the house after a long day of work.

"Kai, I'm home..." no response. I walk through the kitchen and to the fridge to grab a bottle of water, but was faced with a large purple sticky note stuck on the fridge door.

Go upstairs and change into the outfit on the bed, when your done, come back downstairs and look for the one thing that is most valuable to the both of us. ~Kai

I pulled the note off the fridge and went upstairs. On the bed laid a pair of white and blue denim shorts, a black halter top with a gold zipper going up the front, and a pair of black vans. Right off to the side of it we're several gold rings and a black bag to go with it.

I went into the bathroom, freshening up before putting on the outfit. I put on my shoes and thought back to the note before.

Find something that is valuable to the both of us?

What is that?

Is it the tv because we sit down and watch our favorite shows together every Friday.

Let me see. I went down the stairs and went up to the tv to look around.

Nothing.

20 minutes passed and I, eventually, threw myself down on the couch in defeat. As I rest, I see, out the corner of my eye, something purple... I jump off the couch and run over to the love seat, and under the remote was a purple sticky note that said,

Hopefully you liked the outfit that I threw together, it matches your tomboy style, and the place that is the most valuable, as you know, is the love seat. We watched so many movies in one night on that couch. But, now that you've found this note and you're dressed, go out to the car and go to the location of where we first met. ~Kai

Where was the first place we met?

Mystic Grill.

I walked out the front door and out to my car after locking the door to our small house. I got inside and started it up before taking off down the road.

It only took me a half an hour to get there because we live on the outskirts of the city. I pulled up to the bar and parked the car.

When walking inside, I went up to the bartender and told him my business there.

"May I ask your name?" He asks.

"Yeah, it's Y/N."

"Oh yes, Kai's beautiful lady. Well he told me to give you this note and this small, one of a kind, shot glass." He said, handing me the small glass.

"Oh wow," I said admiring the details on the glass. "It's beautiful. Thank you." I took the glass from the bartender, still looking at the details and words written on it.

HAPPILY EVER AFTER

"That's so cute. Thanks again, have a nice day." I smile before walking out and back to my car. When I get inside, I pull out the note and read it,

You found it, I'm glad you remember where we met. From now on, think critically, what movie did we see on our last date and what theater did we attend? Think long and hard. Love you! ~Kai

Our last movie date, we went to see IT at Mystic Theater. That must be where I need to go, but what am I looking for and where?

I left the bar to the theater. When arriving, I park the car and get out.

Before going to stand in the ticket booth line, I notice the IT poster on the wall and all the teenagers taking pictures with it before going to watch the movie.
