Nyonika sat on a sofa in the lounge, waiting for Manik to arrive..she was sitting there since the past hour yet there were still no signs of Manik's arrival and this made her even more impatient..sighed in defeat, she got hold of her phone and dialled Manik's number..once, twice and thrice but still no response...she was getting impatient and felt anger rushing through her veins and getting enough she stood up and was about to go to her room, when she heard a honk of a car...with a sigh of relieve she turned around only to see Manik walking through the main door towards the stairs that would lead him to his room..he wasn't aware of his surroundings as he was too focussed on his phone...Nyonika seeing this, cleared her throat to gain his attention to which she succeeded..he looked at her unable to understand what's coming up next but just smiled in response as he was in a really good mood and he didn't want it to be ruined by someone's presence who held no value at all in his life...Nyonika was shocked seeing sucha behaviour but ignoring that she moved on and brought the topic up which held more importance at the current moment...
"Manik mujh tumse buhot important baat karni hai jis ki wajah se mein yaha tumhara pechle ek ghante se intezaar kar rahi thi..." being used to such words from Nyonika..
Manik nodded acknowledging the fact that she is only goal-orientated and sat down in front of her as he knew it's gonna be a long convo that is gonna be taking place between them...
Nandini rested on the bed by placing her head on the pillow and laid down by putting a duvet over herself and gazed at the ceiling that was filled with artificial stars..the light of the room was switched off making the stars shine through the darkness spreading light across the room..her fireflies rested on the side table in a jar..she loved objects or even things that were alive which are a source of light..her life was already filled with darkness and she didn't wanted it to impact her a lot so she used to look for things that are a source of light so that it would give her the satisfaction that no matter what there is still ray of light across a dark phase of life...it was a way to bring hope so that she can fight back no matter how difficult the situation seemed to be...
Busy in her thought process she didn't realise her phone was beeping..after some odd minutes, Manik walked through by knocking on the door gaining Nandini's attention who smiled instantly seeing him standing in front of him..Manik smiled seeing his girl's cuteness and hugged her as soon as he reached her..feeling each other's presence they both felt complete and lucky to have each other but the fact that it was midnight and Manik was in her room which made Nandini scared as she knew something is wrong as he wouldn't come so late without informing her about his plans but shoving her thoughts aside, she looked up at Manik who carefully adjusted them on the bed by leaning on the headboard and taking her in his arms so her head is on his chest..she could hear his heartbeats and loved it's rhythm..Manik took hold of her right hand and started playing with her fingers...Nandini felt that Manik is very disturbed and gave him time knowing he is going to tell her as he used to share everything with her but all she had to be now was to be patient as she knew he is quite stubborn and he needed time..after some awkward few moments, without warning Manik announced something which took Nandini's breath's away...she couldn't believe her ears..she gasped and looked at Manik in surprise..she couldn't believe what he has just said..Manik looked at his girl who was shocked...few minutes later Nandini looked down and Manik noticed few tears leaving her eyes...not being able to see his girl like this he took her in his arms and said soothing sweet nothings in her ears in a mere whisper to which she hugged him closer...
What manik told nandini was that...
Nandini, Nyonika ne mujhe teen mahino ke liye Delhi mein rehne ke liye bola hai..uski ek business project hai jo woh chati hai sirf mein handle karo aur woh Delhi mein uski meetings aur research wagaira hoga..mujhe jaana hoga woh kisi toor nahi maan rahi aur mein kisi ko apne saath nahi le jaa sakta kyun ke Nyonika ne bola hai ke agar mien kisi ko apne saath le joaga toh woh distraction hoga aur woh yeh nahi chati especially when it comes to business..mujhe kisi suroorat nahi bej rahi kisi ke saath..I don't wanna leave u but I guess I don't have any second choice..."
Both of them sat there in utter silence, hugging each other in a tight embrace...Nandini couldn't digest the fact that for three whole months she has to let Manik go..even though she knew that time is not a measure of anything and it will fly by but living even a nanosecond without Manik is like living without your heart for Nandini...
she couldn't breathe due to the constant tears and the hiccups she had coz of her crying...she was shaking really badly thinking of living without her Manik and this was making Manik worried as he never knew she is gonna react the way she was..Manik was seeing a different Nandini today, the one who is scared, one who is weak and broken...she wasn't letting him go whenever he tried getting out of the embrace so he had to carry out rubbing her back like a kid and keep saying sweet soothing nothings in her ear that were calming her down eventually but she was still not ready to go of Manik...
understanding her reaction due to whatever has happened since she has entered S.P.A.C.E..he gave her time and carried on doing what he was doing...there was no doubt that Nandini was an over sensitive girl which she never showed herself to be by masking herself behind a strong independent girl...Manik never knew that and was mentally scolding himself for not seeing the real Nandini..after this he had understood that Nandini is nothing like what she shows herself to be..probably because she doesn't want anyone to take advantage of her or because she thinks it's best if she does this so that she can protect her family or even expectations would of caused such transformation in Nandini..Manik also had this thought of what if behind Nandini's masked personality is hidden her dark past..the one neither did Murtys or Nandini discussed..he was very curious about her as he thought she is like a straight road and now after just telling her about a three month separation she is acting very possessive and unable to let go...he was determined to talk to Nandini and somehow find the real Nandini who hasn't been even revealed in front of Manik...
Nandini was sure of a mystery and since day one she always attracted Manik probably she was different or she had a lot hidden which Manik wanted to discover as he loved things that were challenging..he loved solving a puzzle which no one could and this was the reason why Nandini intrigued him as she never gave up and especially on their first meet the way she had acted in front of Fab 5 was absolutely shocking..Manik started getting attracted towards her since the first day..as the way she stood up for herself..the way she slapped him...the way when they kissed their lips molded with each other eventually..it all seemed like they were meant to be..he smiled on the flashbacks he got of the first day..that's when he realised that he still have Nandini in his arms but when he looked down he saw a sleepy Nandini who not only looked adorable but the light on her face made her glow, that made her even more attractive..Manik went all awe over her but not able to resist he quickly pecked on her lips and made her lie in a comfortable position and wished her good night in a mere whisper near her ear making her smile...Manik seeing this bit his lip back to resist laughing out loud...it was a proud moment for him as he knew she is all his and he is all of hers and this made him happy as he knew things are going to get better for both of them eventually as things do take time to settle back down...but he was determined that everything will work out for both of them....
Is the separation going to happen..?
