Chapter 1: Mommy Alert

A/N Hey guys! This is a new story that I will be sticking too for sure! I'm thinking about making up a schedule for days I will post each chapter, but I am unsure when that will be yet! Maybe you guys can comment and decide when you think will be best?

I hope you guys like it, and the romance/tension that will arise with Claire and Matt!

Chapter 1: Mommy Alert

It's days like today when I feel as if my world couldn't get any worse than it already happens to be. My mom has been totally unreasonable lately and grounded me for a month without even hearing my side of the mishap.

I have been dating Matthew Kelly for what seemed like forever-probably seeing as that's how long our friendship have been intact- but we only started dating last summer. We began as best friends when we were just toddlers, always playing mischievous pranks on our parents and neighbors. He would come up with the excruciating plans and I was his tag-a-long whom he loved as his sidekick. "You and I Forever Claire," he would always whisper to me when each prank climbed to success.

It wasn't until the last day of sophomore year that I noticed my feelings spring roof high for him. He got a girlfriend, Emily Squires and also lost her all in that one day, thanks to me and one of my evil jokes-Matt being the one who taught me all I know in trickery- ended it for him.

I remember him looking at me intently, mouth forming into a pout. I remember how he said he was going to kiss Emily right before I got between the two and messed things up. She walked away with a slap to Matt's face, leaving the red imprint of her hand on his cheek. That wasn't why he was pouting though, he was just really eager to kiss someone and so it ended up being me-right then and there.

Things bloomed into something great since then. We spent the whole summer together like every year, went on little cheesy dates, continued torturing our neighbors with silly things like knocking on their doors and escaping their rage by running into a bush, where we so happened to share a great many of make out sessions.

I walk into the school, head drooping low. I see Matthew talking to another one of my close friends Jasmine Brooks-who we love to call Jassy. His back is pressed onto my locker, and arms folded tightly across his chest. I haven't seen either one of them the whole weekend since my mother grounded me last Friday.

She was cleaning my room, but ended up finding a condom hidden in my underwear drawer. It's not what you think. I am still a virgin, it's just a little thing me and Matt came up with. He gave it to me to give back to him whenever I think I'm ready, I don't plan on it being any time soon.

They seek me out and both rush for me, fierce and eagerness written all over their expressions. Jasmine's shoulder length hair flares out on every side of her pale face, creating a mane of blonde. I move my attention from Jassy to Matt. His eyes waver all over the place, almost as if he was confused about something, yet nervous at the same time.

"Where have you been? Why haven't you answered any of my texts or calls?" He exclaims once the two reach my spot by standing in the school doorway.

"I got grounded. Mom took everything from me," I pass right by them and stroll to my locker.

I may have been a little too harsh on them since they had no idea if I were even still alive this weekend and all, but I was too pissed to care. Before I left for school in the morning my mom and I had a raging argument. She expected me to break up with Matt and not see him anymore because of the whole condom thing.
