Ron and Hermione-After the war

Christmas Eve

Ron had his hands behind his head,staring up at the ceiling. He couldn't sleep a wink last night because he was thinking of what he and Hermione were going to do that day. He wanted to go to the Burrow but they were already going the next day,for Christmas! He sighed and decided that they would just spend the day together since they both weren't going to work that day. Ron was actually looking forward to spending the day with his beautiful wife. They could finally have alone time for the whole day after he came back from his mission.

Hermione stirred slightly. Ron hovered on top of her slowly. He tucked a few strands of hair behind her ear gently,not wanting her to wake her up so he can stare at her and admire how much they are perfect for each other. He couldn't help it. Just thinking of her made his heart do a backflip. He slowly leant down and kissed her soft lips. Hermione's eyes fluttered open and she saw Ron kissing her. She pulled away."Good morning my sleeping beauty"chuckled Ron."Good morning Ron. Did you sleep well?"she asked him. Ron shook his head."Not so well"he said as he crawled back to her right.

"Why?"
"Oh,nothing"
"Ron..you can tell me"
"I was wondering if we could visit Harry and Ginny but we're already going to see them tomorrow right? I was thinking of it the whole night. We could go if you want"
"Aren't we going to see them tomorrow?"
"Yeah...I was thinking..we could have some alone time today. You know just the two of us"
"That'll be perfect,Ron"

Hermione inched closer to him and kissed him lightly. Ron slowly wrapped his arms around his wife when they broke apart. He sighed happily holding her close to him as if he was protecting her. He slowly bent down and kissed her forehead. Hermione slowly looked up and their eyes met. Ron could get lost in them forever. They just stared into each other's eyes as Ron held her tightly around the waist. He slowly caressed her cheek with his thumb,smiling and not taking his eyes off of her. He thought of what a lucky man he was to have married her.

"Oh and merry Christmas Eve,love"said Ron looking at Hermione. He was lucky that he came back only yesterday. He was just in time to celebrate Christmas with his family."Merry Christmas to you too,Ron"she said. They smiled at each other. Ron pulled her closer to him while she leant her head on his chest."I love you"she whispered. Their hands found each other as their fingers linked together."I love you too,Hermione"whispered Ron as he bent down and kissed her cheek."I'll always love you"he whispered in her ear making her shiver slightly. Ron chuckled. He slowly lifted her from the bed and placed her on the ground.

"Don't you think we should go to our...'special place' today?"he asked her. Their 'special place' is a place near their house with a lake and a waterfall. It also had a beautiful swing set. They would always go there when they wanted to be alone."Ron..everything must be frozen there"she replied."It's fine with me"he shrugged. Hermione smiled and kissed him on the lips."Fine,then. We'll go there"she whispered. She was lifted up by Ron. He swung her across the room,kissing her."Ron..put me down"she squealed."Fine"he said placing her on the ground and pulling her closer to him. He slowly wrapped his arms around her tiny waist from the behind and kissed her neck softly. Hermione turned around to look at him and their eyes met. He placed his hand behind her neck and kissed her nose.

Hermione giggled."I'll go check on Otter,okay?"she whispered."What? Now? Can't it wait?"he asked her pressing his forehead against hers. Hermione shook her head and smiled."Fine,but I'm not done with you"he said. Hermione just pulled a face. She kissed him and went downstairs to see Otter. He was curled up in the sofa,exactly where he was yesterday. She slowly picked up the cat and brought it to the kitchen to give him some food and water.
