"I love you."

"But I don't."

I woke up gasping for air my face moist with tears or sweat. Couldn't tell the difference anymore as it happened every so often, it really didn't matter.

I heard shouting, I slowly got up.

Then I realised where I was, Jakes place. I lightly placed a foot outside and walked towards the noise.

Jake was running after a girl with medium length brown hair. She was extremely pretty.

Prettier than I was. I saw what she was running from. My eyes went wide and my body felt rigid.

I couldn't move, once again so vunerable, so stupid. It was only a taser, but honestly everything scared me now. I just stood there. Jake saw me, and skidded to a stop.

Worry and concern lighting up his face. "Hannah?" He asked me I was still rigid and tears were falling, slowly and I felt the world slow around me.

There were so many people I didn't know here, but then, I hardly knew Jake anymore. He hung out with a different crowd, he was definitely different.

He reached out to touch me and the whole world started to fast forward, I flinched. His eyes went wide as he flung his hand back.

I wanted to hug him and mutter sorry. But I couldn't bring myself to use the voice that once held me down when I needed help the most.

Everyone looked at me, I didn't like it one bit. I shifted uncomfortably. Then Jake cleared his throat, "oh er right this is Hannah and she is staying with us for a bit." That's it? No telling who I was to him.

Everyone waited for me to speak. But I said nothing just staring right back at them. To be fair they never said much anyway.
